The problem is that a key element in Leftist programming is the installation of a belief that one is, somehow, "better" than those who don't agree; more "informed", more "educated".

When they are confronted with facts, such as this thread, that expose Leftist media for the fake news spewing cesspool that it is, this creates conflict within the subconscious because it is active evidence that they are neither as informed nor as educated as they were made to believe.

At that point any of Freud's defense mechanisms can present themselves, the most common ones on display here are: denial, projection, repression, and displacement.

So with the ego and its defense mechanisms in place its going to be very hard to ever get through to any deeply programmed Leftist because, to them, its not about what they are supporting its what they are getting in exchange.

Leftists do what they do because its self-satisfying, not because its good for anybody.

 

This is the same NYT that wrote post election that they would get back to honest journalism, presumably because their yellow journalism had failed in its goal to beat trump.

Of course the WP and the NYT are outlets for CIA propaganda as well as the rest of MSM. You get propagandized, which means you are fed a diet of lies to manufacture consent for wherever the corrupt treasonous bastards in DC want to take America. Some of us pay attention, are learned enough in reality, revealed by retired gov't officials and retired intel agents, while most people are politically tribal which is their Achilles Heel, for it keeps them basically stupid, dumbed down herd animals. They view reality as some tin foil hat conspiracy, whenever an astute American tries to explain to them that perceptions of reality are manufactured by MSM. The naïve, ignorance is bliss americans keep real, fundamental change from ever happening. And the treasonous politicians in power. That the people get the gov't they deserve is a very true saw, based in wisdom.

Understand, I include FOX in with the MSM, for while they are politically to the right, they like MSM are propaganda arms of a gov't owned by a small group of elites, and are also outlets for CIA propaganda. And of course our 1947 law which forbid using propaganda on the American people was trashed with one of the national defense acts and so it is perfectly legal to use lying propaganda on the People today. Yet the dumb herd are not even aware of this change in law under Obama. MSM blacked this out as they do habitually, in order to keep this Oligarchy intact and safe. And the herd depends upon MSM including FOX for their information.. That most americans are not informed is a given. And so we live in some form of a post Orwellian 1984 America, as Europe does.
