Well since we are now on topic, how about if other members of the Trump campaign and associates coordinated with Russia as the FBI, House & Senate are investigating are found guilty of the same?

Wow, you are really bad at this. You cannot bring yourself to even say you would hold your party accountable. Thanks for showing your favoritism with corruption as long as it is in your favor. You are why Trump was elected and will be a second time.

Yes you said Trump HAD to know aboutbthe payments which Flynn did not disclose, how was he supposed to know about Flynn's previous business dealings?

Apparently trump's phrase "Extreme Vetting" only applies to refugees, not to applicants for mediocre jobs like
    National Security Adviser.

You might find the article linked below interesting.
If Flynn is "one of the dumbest individual that ever lived," then Trump appointing him National Security Advisor was a huge mistake. If Flynn had "nefarious purposes," as seems likely, since he lied about meetings, then Trump is likely complicit. Trump was told on January 26th that Flynn was compromised, yet he left him in office and in national security briefings until February 13th. Although some could probably make the argument that Trump was dumb to do so, it certainly doesn't seem like an accident.

Flynn apparently hid the payments and did not disclose them what is escaping you?
How specifically did they "lift him across the finish line" no investigative agency and been able to say the Russians affected the voting or the results at all.

Then give us the details of exactly what they did and how it changed the outcome of the election and not just suppositions and conjecture.

Except that when Trump appointed him no one knew of any of this and Flynn and a very good resume and reputation and was praised as a pick. You are judging it in hindsight.

And totally unsupported conjecture on your part there is no "likely" at all. Flynn was a private businessman with no known connections to Trump other than a loose advisory position.

You don't know exactly what Trump was told or knew or was advised to do at the time and these payments have just been disclosed.

As an American, you should be concerned and since this is a matter of grave national secuity you should want it investigated thoroughly by an independent non-partizan special committee.

Lobbying rules. Wow. The nation is a risk. Let us know when he has taken in as much money from a foreign entity as have the Clintons...which they also failed to report....

    1. Elijah Cummings sent Pence a letter on November 18, asking about potential problems/conflicts of interests involving Flynn's lobbying. If Pence had properly vetted Flynn, he could not have agreed to Flynn's appointment. By proper vetting, Pence should have asked for verification of all aspects of Flynn's lobbying. Either Pence is complicit or incompetently vetted Trump appointees, but ether way, it isn't a good look.

    Here's the link to Cummings's letter- https://democrats-oversight.house.g...v/files/documents/2016-11-18.EEC to Pence.pdf

    2. If you had read the link I mentioned in that post, you would see that another retired military officer made the comment about Flynn having nefarious purposes. Former military officers are not allowed to accept money from a foreign country. It is a felony. Lying about accepting money from a foreign country only adds to the nefariousness of the while situation. It's not just conjecture that Trump is likely complicit. There is no good explanation for leaving Flynn privy to national security classified information after he knew (on January 26th) that Flynn was compromised, or even after Pence was asked to share information on Flynn's lobbying efforts in November. He didn't fire him until February 13th. Simply leaving him in place during that time is negligent by the President. So, either Trump is negligent or complicit, neither of which is a good look either.

    3. I do know that Trump was told on January 26th that Flynn was compromised. The business with the Turkish/ Russian money should have been discovered in his vetting. However, since it wasn't, we do know Jan. 26th was when Sally Yates went to the White House to tell Trump that Flynn could be blackmailed because there were transcripts of intercepts that proved him to be a liar. Remind yourself that Flynn was the National Security Advisor to the President, and the FBI has him documented as lying about contacts with Russians, and he illegally did not disclose contact and feloniously receiving money from foreign governments, one of which had just used active measures against our country in an attempt to sway voters to elect Trump. Trump… who held rallies where Flynn started crowd chants of "lock her up"- one of Russia's active measures. So yeah, we know what Trump was told and what was recommended, and what finally happened. White House people corroborated what was leaked and that they couldn't rule out Flynn having a collaborator/s. What we don't know is why Trump allowed Flynn access to classified information from Jan 26- Feb 13, or what Flynn did with that information… yet.

I've read the conjecture and suppositions which is all they are. He failed to report income he received, that is what he is in hot-water over because of special restrictions on retired military personnel. Projecting that onto to Trump is specious at best.

Why does that mean that Trump HAD TO KNOW about the payments Flynn did not disclose to anyone. You are making a statement of fact for which you have nothing to back it up except suppositions. He didn't HAVE TO KNOW about it at all it was a private business deal.

Well a private citizen even one running for office is a little limited in their "vetting" capabilities vis-a-vis the vetting the federal government can do wouldn't you agree?

The investigation into CGI is ongoing, very quietly, I might add. You're aware of the allegations, and implications, I'm sure. Russia? Who knows? Saudi Arabia for sure. China, most certainly.

Yea, he refuses to answer anything and tries to control the conversation but he isn't crafty enough to pull it off without seeing right through his weak game.

Trump's National Security Adviser lied about being a foreign agent while acting as the National Security Adviser. And now the White House is actively covering up and/or hindering the investigation.

Yea, the Nation is at risk from that type of behavior.

P.S. Let me know when you will stop acting like a dog around a squirrel.

And the money from Turkey appears to have actually come from Russia and this was when Russia was tampering with the 2016 election.

The "official" reason he was fired was because he "mislead" Pence about the nature of his calls with the Russian ambassador. He proved to be untrustworthy in a position that requires trust to protect the nation as a whole.

I'm not sure how you are squaring the circle that Flynn lied, misrepresented, and mislead over contacts with Russian governmental officials, to the point of being fired, but was allowed continued access to classified information concerning national security for two weeks as being anything but Trump either being negligent or complicit. The fact that Flynn committed a felony by accepting large sums of money from foreign governments discovered afterwards only makes his case worse. As the transition leader, Pence should have discovered this issue in the vetting process and it should have prevented Flynn from ever having access to classified information. The buck doesn't stop with Flynn. Someone (Pence) allowed Flynn's appointment, despite documented evidence of disqualifying issues and someone else (Trump) allowed Flynn access to classified information concerning national security for two weeks after he was informed of Flynn's compromising situation. The mere fact that he wasn't immediately fired, put national security at risk… by people at the very top of our government.

Somehow, I don't feel you would take this protective attitude had Obama or Hillary Clinton allowed a compromised national security advisor continued access to classified information for two weeks following an IC briefing detailing his compromise.

I also distinctly recall Trump saying he was going to instruct the Attorney General to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton and put her in jail, despite any evidence of wrongdoing.

I think you see my point about Russia and the CGI.

Everyone that can be objective and apply critical thinking can see your point. It is sad to see so many people are willing to place the USA at risk by not taking this seriously.

I've not claimed Flynn didn't lie and have explicitly stated that it appears he did not disclose the income, that is lying. Everything else you have stated is pure conjecture and supposition. You statement Pence "should have" discovered it in the vetting has no basis at all, Flynn apparently was lying about it. He even did so on his application to renew his security clearance. It was apparently discovered in the FBI security clearance investigation or the investigation into the alleged Russian "tampering". You know the FBI which does the vetting. You don't know what kind of leash Trump may have had him on while the FBI was finalizing the investigation or what the FBI even told Trump and what to do about it. You don't even know if Flynn was this Russian spy you seem to be asserting he was selling secrets to the Russians. The FBI and DOJ have made no such assertions merely that he did not disclose a relatively minor payment for a speaking engagement and as a business consultant.

So you might want to watch the hyperbole you seem to want to engage in and await the facts.
