Trump happens to be a presidential candidate so I do hold him to a higher standard than some random guy on YouTube or Twitter, or some celebrity with a tired pirate act. And I don't remember any major liberals labeling Trump as a traitor for making a joke, and don't even know what this joke was. As I said there are crybabies on both sides.

 

I didn't say that I would resort to violence. Nor did I recommend it. I said Trump, and the right who still support him, after it's crystal clear how destructive he is, are now the enemies of this Republic. How we move ahead to defeat this clear and present danger is a different story. But first you have to identify who the enemy is. I've been watching this identification by the right with the likes of Putin, Assad, etc., for going on 8 years. I don't understand what's happened here, but I know something very wrong has occurred. I've run out of patience. The right can come back into the fold, or face the consequences.

It was my understanding that you had not seen the quote. If you want to see Liberals foaming at the mouth, just turn on the TV, it never stops. If it's some big "freedom of speech" thing at issue here, you have to go back to the Kennedy assassination to see the origin about threats, even spoken in jest, to a president. After Kennedy was murdered, it was hastily concluded that any and all threatening speech (even jokes, various one-off kinds of pure nonsense and bullshit, etc.) were actionable, and could get a person arrested, charged, convicted, fined, thrown in jail, etc.

Actor Jonny Depp called for the President of the USA to be assassinated two days ago.

In the face of a backlash, Depp apologised for his "bad joke". Other celebrity "bad jokes" have been calls to bomb the Whitehouse and to behead President Trump.

"Maybe it's time to assassinate the President" is a joke, and, crucially, excusable as such. Apparently.

Last week, a fervent Bernie Sanders (Democrat, anti-Trump) supporter attempted to assassinate fully thirty Republican congressmen at a baseball practice. Only one was critically injured, now recovering. The idiot was, happily, shot and killed.

The idiot was immersed in a febrile, hysterical atmosphere of unhinged left wing hysteria and calls for the assassination of the democratically elected President. These deranged celebrities' calls to arms have consequences. Not because they follow through on their retarded threats, but because other people do.

The CIA needs to have a word with Jonny Depp. As soon as these cretins learn that their deranged verbal diarrhea has real world consequences for themselves, the sooner they'll stop.
