What I am happy with is irrelevant, we are not discussing emotions or morals just the reason why legal consent is not given to children.

 

So. You claim that sex and hug regulated exactly the same way, equal punishment was provided for both, they both equally investigated and there is no legal difference at all?

 

I have SHOWN that sex and hug are regulated in exactly the same way. Children cannot legally consent to either.
Punishment is dependent on the severity of the crime. Thus if you hugged me, it would be assault. If you grabbed my penis it would be sexual assault, my response to such an action perpetrated by you, and the resulting beating I would give you may amount to manslaughter or even murder.

 

Anyone who feels the urge to "hug" a child unrelated to him / herself, needs to investigate their reason for having this compulsion. It's inappropriate to engage in physical displays of affection without consent of the LEGAL guardian. The OP uses the term pedophile ... it's way too late to pretend the crux of this entire concept isn't sexual gratification. It's immoral, it's illegal, and it's shameful. I only hope pedophiles take from this that they, in order to gratify themselves at the expense of a child, must simply request permission of the guardian. I can guarantee that will result in far fewer pedophiles stalking our children. Parents tend to derive a great deal of gratification from assailing creepy park dwellers.

A recall referendum for judges would make them more accountable for their wacky decisions
