The bombing of Hiroshima with the Hydrogen Bomb. Einstein visited the U.S. in 1933 when Adolph Hitler came into power within Germany. Einstein, being Jewish, knew that Hitler was anti-Jewish and fled to The U.S. In 1940 Albert Einstein became a US citizen and never did go back to Germany. On the eve of WWII, Mr. Einstein endorsed a letter to President Franklin D. Roosevelt alerting him to the potential development of 'extremely powerful bombs of a new type' and recommended to the President that the U.S. begin similar research. This led to the Manhattan Project. Upon completion of The U.S' research and development, The U.S., with the consent from the U.K. dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Earlier on in that year, 1945, in the month of July, the U.S. held its very first nuclear testing in the Jornada del Muerto desert which is about 35 miles (56 km) southeast of Socorro, New Mexico. It was known as the Trinity Nuclear Test. GOD, otherwise known as The Holy Trinity, is a 'doctrinal belief' within Christianity. Many older 'fundamental' Judeo Christian Churches hold strong onto this 'doctrinal belief'. However, in today's days, The Holy Trinity doctrinal teaching, is undergoing questionings and denials even within Christian Churches. Trinity was a reference to a poem by John Donnehe who Robert Oppenheimer loved. The “Gadget” was the first nuclear bomb successfully tested at the site, followed by the "Little Boy" and "Fat Man", thus making up the Trinity.

According to Wiki, the code name "Trinity" was assigned by J. Robert Oppenheimer, the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory, inspired by the poetry of John Donne, as the poster above said. Nothing to do with the religious stuff.
No - the nuclear bombs @ Trinity & dropped on Japan @ Hiroshima & Nagasaki were fission bombs, relatively easy to construct, about 15 kilotons of dynamite equivalent (dropped on Japan). The gun-type atomic bomb wasn't tested. The implosion weapon was tested - that's what went off @ Trinity. The hydrogen or fusion bomb has never been used in war - very powerful explosions. That was developed later, in 1952, for yield of 50+ KT of TNT equivalent.
An H-bomb is a fusion bomb. An H-bomb is typically ignited by a fission bomb (the latter like the ones from WWII) - TMK, that's the only way to get the temperatures & pressures needed to ignite the fusion reaction. You can look around on your favorite sources, they'll have diagrams & explanations of how an H-bomb works. They're very light on details, but you should be able to find an outline of the sequence of events within the warhead.
