Oh, for sure. After Trump snubbed her for a Cabinet post, she is suddenly struggling for relevance like a fired Apprentice contestant.
Ahhhh so she is no longer a public figure which enhances her chances of taking the NYT's to the cleaners over this.............
In this particular case, the NY Times has been doing well the last 5 years, overall. Liberals like to be told what to think by authority figures. Hence, their popularity.
The Time can thank Trump's Market. If we look at the layoffs and last few years of performance the NY Times has been in deep distress. I am glad Trump helped the NY Times for now... because they are going to owe Sarah MILLIONS.
Putting the Pain in Palin! Palin Slams Slim's Slimes with YUUGE Defamation Lawsuit, Hires Hulk Hogan's Legal Team. Sue, Baby Sue! You Betcha!
Is the Times failing or not? It's been posted in this thread. President Trump says it is. I can't find a single thing to back that up. That was the reason for my post in the first place. I never said you said anything.
are we talking about the targets thing? "Shot Congresswoman Was In Sarah Palin's 'Crosshairs'" http://gawker.com/5728545/shot-congresswoman-was-in-sarah-palins-crosshairs
Ask Trump, or someone that made that claim on this forum. You are asking me about something I didn't state. Based on their stock history, they haven't been doing great, but in the last 5 years they appear to be stable. So failing would be the wrong word for their poor performance.
I did ask people who made the claim on this forum. You agree that in the last 5 years they have been stable, or appear to be stable. Stability and failing are entirely different things. We all presumably know that. The print business is down everywhere. The days of having to pay a subscription to a newspaper to get news are virtually over. I haven't subscribed to a newspaper since we cancelled the Manchester Union-Leader in 2008 because we can read it and thousands of other news sources online, forget that you can get news 24 hours a day on cable. I doubt my husband and I are the only ones who made that decision.
Sarah Palin sues New York Times for libel over editorial claiming she incited Jared Loughner's mass shooting. Ironically, the legal provision that makes it difficult for public figures to win a libel case also opens up broad avenues of discovery for the Palin legal team in order to find evidence of "actual malice." Enjoy the Discovery, it's what's for breakfast. You Betcha!
IS the New York Times. In other words, business as usual for the NYT Thank you for reminding us that the NYT put the Fake in Fake News. All right, Fisherguy!
She has the right legal team. Buzzfeed was being sued by the Russian businessman they smeared in their Russian dossier article. The same Russian businessman was in Londons High Court suing Steele. Suddenly no ones covering that trial ...?
Sarah Palin is a public figure. This will be thrown out without comment, except by the sheep it was aimed at.
No, I saw announcements from the NY Times for the last 6 years or so about layoffs. Same thing that's happening at almost all of the newspapers in this country. What was the recent announcement and how many are in the huge layoffs? AT&T has been laying off staff by the thousands every year for the last 20 years. I wouldn't say they're failing. Would you?
That shows you don't know crap about Defamation and Libel. Here are a few examples. Liberace sued and won Hulk Hogan sued and won Carol Burnette sued and won Kiera Knightley sued and won Please stop posting on this topic if you choose to remain ignorant to it.
Right, so the legal standard is slightly higher. Malice must be proved. I feel showing that the author and editors knew there was zero connection between Sara's utterances or campaign material and the shooter's motivation, the threshold will be met. NYT intended to harm by using a known lie. NYT will settle. The worm has turned and the public, potental jury members, seems to be expressing this. CNN retraction. Vice News retractions. Pink Slime concession by ABC north of 1.5B. Buzzfeed Gawker Cheers
