Trump just had the worst week of his short Presidency, and that is saying something.

For several weeks Trump, for reasons known only to him, has attempted to isolate himself. He has dismissed many members of his inner circle and replaced them. Even his senior advisor, Steve Bannon, is gone. In a form of political suicide, he has attacked members of his own party in Congress, even the Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. These are people he needs to pass his legislative agenda.

With his horrible rant on Tuesday he finally succeeded. Republican lawmakers have sharply rebuked him. Business leaders in his administration are leaving him in droves and he has been forced to disband several councils. Generals, who avoid politics like the plague, felt compelled for the good of the nation to speak out and condemn Trump's comments on Tuesday. Multiple charities have pulled their fundraising events from Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach.

I do think there needs to be radical changes. The President has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence that he needs to demonstrate in order to be successful, Sen. Bob Corker, a Tennessee Republican.

Republican Senators, representatives, and governors have all been heavily critical of Trump. The list is endless.

    It was a rough week.

The conservative Wall Street Journal managed to put things in perspective. This should be read very carefully. There is a great deal of meaning.

Even many opponents of Donald Trump as a candidate were cheered by the quality of his early appointments, especially his Cabinet. But as his behavior as President has become more erratic, and especially after the moral confusion of his response to Charlottesville, the question becomes whether there will be a rush to the exits that sends this Presidency into an even faster decline.

This is no exaggerated fear. John Kelly, the new chief of staff, looked visibly uncomfortable as he listened to Mr. Trump’s self-destructive, off-the-cuff riff about Charlottesville on Tuesday. The former general is supposed to bring order to White House chaos.

Gary Cohn, the chief economic adviser who is Jewish, is widely reported to have been upset as he stood nearby as Mr. Trump struggled to distinguish between neo-Nazis, whom he condemned, and “very fine people” who merely wanted to support Confederate statues. The press event was supposed to be about infrastructure.

The men and women who have joined the Trump Administration aren’t doing so because it enhances their reputations. They have no illusions about Mr. Trump’s character flaws, or if they did, they don’t any more. They are trying to serve their country.

They know nearly 63 million Americans voted for Donald Trump, and that it does the country no good to root for a Presidency’s disintegration. They see a rare moment of united Republican government to move in a better direction on domestic policy. Or they want to correct the erosion of American power and influence that accelerated during the Obama years.

But that task gets harder with every reckless Trumpian flight from normal presidential behavior. Every person has to decide how long he or she can serve in good conscience. But we hope the best stay as long as they can for the good of the country.

    Amen!

He's doing just fine. The fact that the left is freaking out is proof he is doing a great job.

Well, at least he can change his staff if they're not working for him, like a true businessman. Something he can't do with congress.

Which is it? Do you have a severe reading comprehension problem, or did you just read the title? Republican lawmakers, his business associates in the administration, even his generals are "freaking out."

The left are offstage enjoying the circus, not freaking out.

Republican lawmakers are cowards and incompetent. Of course they are freaking out. We elected trump to counter those losers. The generals are doing just fine, except for those looking to land a comfortable politician gig in the near future. They are a bit panicked because trump is upsetting the status quo.

Trump is doing exactly what we elected him to do. All of Washington should panic. The status quo is being destroyed.

Yes, he can, and he is doing that frequently. Perhaps you should review what the WSJ said. Some of his people are pretty good. Mattis, Tillerson, Kelly, even Jared Kushner come to mind.

He had a fine first week. The left however got further exposed for being unhinged.

You realized everyone on the left freaked out because Trump told the truth?

    America realizes it.

President Trump is walking Democrats down the known path of more election defeats. Unlike idiots Romney and McCain, he is not so stupid as to let the globalist corporate MSM and malcontent Democratic Party of hate and division tell him what to say - meaning attacking Republicans. Rather, is he giving Democrats and the Democratic Party every opportunity to incessantly scream "RACISTS!" and "BIGOTS!" at white people and - morseo - given the political tactic of the Democratic Party in every election from its birth is to furiously promote racial, economic, and social divisions in the most accusatory and hateful ways. T

he Democrats are already starting protests and riots, causing violence and death very early - in this instance in their twisted view this helps the entrenched Virginia governor win re-election - like Democratic Party officials and talking heads on the MSM do in every election season.

The Democratic Party increasingly is the exclusive club or malcontents, promoting hatred, property destruction, segregation and exclusion, conflict, war and violence. Of most election importance, the party of riots, perceived as the party promoting violence against police, and of people that should be avoided because of how accusatory, judgmental and negative they are.

The forum is interesting as among other things we see how much the Democratic Party folds in on itself in a contest of who can more hate the USA, who can express more hatred and superiority over the most people, and who can most declare who is not welcomed in the Democratic Party. This all is within their own fantasy reality.

For over a year, the same dozen partisan Democrats incessantly starting redundant topic threads have cheered their fantasy reality back and forth. Tens of thousands of messages declaring President Trump's political doom and declaring they are winning. Lost over 1000 Democrat held offices, have lost the House of Representatives and Senate, lost the Supreme Court appointments, and lost the Presidency - all as the rant, sobbing and cheer that they are winning. It is incredibly foolish, naive and comical to read.

The reasons Trump supporters voted for Trump in the first place are now gone.

“Bannon is the intellectual heart and soul of the Trump movement,” said Mark Corallo, a prominent GOP operative who served briefly as the spokesperson for Trump’s private legal team. “He was the think tank. He's the idea generator. … He was the guy who was the most thoughtful about how to enact the agenda, how to build a coalition.”

Trump supporters by and large are populist nationalists. Steve Bannon was the leading spokesman for populist nationalism in the White House, and Breitbart immediately gained from Trump's loss. Breitbart's editor-in-chief Alex Marlow declared, “The populist-nationalist movement got a lot stronger today. Breitbart gained an executive chairman with his finger on the pulse of the Trump agenda.”

If Trump supporters don't take my word for it, perhaps they will believe the holder of the "intellectual heart and soul" of their movement. In an interview with The Weekly Standard Bannon stated, “The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over,” he said. “We still have a huge movement, and we will make something of this Trump presidency. But that presidency is over. It’ll be something else. And there’ll be all kinds of fights, and there’ll be good days and bad days, but that presidency is over.”

There is a powerful reason why Trump supporters should now be questioning their loyalty to the Trump Presidency. That Presidency is now dominated by Democrats and globalists, the very people Trump supporters fought so hard against.

The fact of the matter is, prior to becoming a Republican candidate, Trump was a New York Democrat. Trump donated $175,860 more to Democrats than Republicans from 1989 to 2010. He donated to the Clinton Foundation as well as prominent Democrats, including Hillary Clinton (N.Y.), Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (Nev.), John Kerry (Mass.), and Rahm Emanuel (Ill.), President Obama's White House chief of staff, among others.

In 2011, Trump changed his mind and decided to be a Republican. While that was far from the last time he changed his mind, was it really true that he was a Republican at heart?

That brings us up to today. With the dismissal of the alt-right spokesman from the White House, Bannon, Trump's inner circle has drastically changed. Republicans, populists, and nationalists are all gone. Trump's closest advisers are now Democrats and globalists!

They would include Jared Kushner, his wife and Trump's Jewish daughter, Ivanka, Gary Cohn, Trump's economic adviser, and Steve Mnuchin, Trump's secretary of the treasury.

Another group of advisors extremely close to Trump are apolitical. They are generals. They are chief of staff John Kelly, SecDef James Mattis, and Trump's NSA H.R. McMasters.

Summing up, Trump supporters voted for a wannabe Republican, a populist nationalist, and an "America First" kind of guy. What they have now is a President who returned to his Democratic roots and he is surrounded by globalist Democrats that include his daughter and son-in-law.

I would suppose that if one avoids reality and replies to a post without reading it, one would feel much better about oneself.

Every sentence in your post is wrong.

He had a horrible week. Several Republican lawmakers, people he needs for his legislative agenda, took a piece out of him this week. A prominent Republican Senator and previously a strong Trump supporter questioned his competence. Trump was forced to disband his business councils because his business associates left him in droves. Even his generals questioned his competency.

The left didn't get unhinged. They were clapping and cheering as Trump's support melted away. The senior advisor responsible for Trump's victory over Clinton was dismissed.

Obviously, the left didn't freak out and Trump's "truth" caused desertions all around him.

How can you get everything wrong? That's right. You voted for Trump. That explains it.

Its called transference. It is a defense mechanism.

It is when a person transfers all his faults or the faults of a group he/she represents onto innocent party or group.

Perhaps it is time to review what the conservative Wall Street Journal had to say about all this. Somehow its message got lost.

The message has been crystal clear all along, but diehard Trump fans are too focused on Twitter to notice the handwriting on the wall.

Like many Trump fans, you live in a world all your own. You never challenge statements you don't like. You simply ignore them because you know they speak the truth.

On the other hand, that is all a Trump fan can do. Trump is that stupid and incompetent.
