YOU HATE THE NRA. why? because we elect conservative politicians? because we train cops and other civilians proper gun use? because we sponsor shooting events. Its hilarious/ ALMOST all Democrat schemes to restrict guns is based on that party's hate of the NRAs politics

well lets examine who would "rationally" hate the NRA

    1) criminals-because the NRA has taught millions of Citizens-both private and those employed as law enforcement officers to shoot accurately

    2) foreign Olympic teams-up until about 1992, the NRA was the national governing body for Olympic shooting

    3) those who support or run as liberal anti gun politicians since the NRA has defeated hundreds of Anti gun rights politicians including John Kerry, Al Gore and Hillary Clinton

    4) gun banners or those who hate gun owners and want to pass laws banning guns-laws that the NRA has opposed or helped strike down

other than that, there is no rational reason to hate the NRA

No, it DOES matter. You espouse a position that requires factual justification, and stating that you "hate" a civil rights organization without being able to articulate why only implies that you recognize on some level that your position is not a rational one.

This is one of the most frustrating aspects of this discussion; gun control advocates are inevitably horribly ignorant of fact on how guns work or the realities of their use and abuse. Every position they articulate is generally based in emotionalism, rhetoric, and hyperbole; they seem incapable of responding rationally to questions nor can they tolerate any challenge to their worldview.

If you can't state a rational, factually based argument as to the strong emotions you have regarding this debate, it might be time to look more closely at your own motivations.

Not it doesn't matter why I hate them but I do find it ironic that you are criticizing me when I am defending them in this case.

we are laughing about anyone who is an American Citizen and supports civil rights actually hating the NRA unless they are part of one of those groups I mentioned above. I cannot see any other rational reason to hate the NRA. That you are so coy in explaining why almost guarantees you are in one of those groups.

Yes, you are defending them in this case, and I appreciate the irony.

That doesn't change the fact that to state unequivocally that you "hate" a civil rights organization and then refuse to elaborate on why you should have such a visceral emotional reaction implies you realize that your hatred isn't based in truly valid motivations.

Hatred without articulable reason that amounts to legitimate justification would indicate significant mental illness. Without articulable reason it is nothing more than hatred for the simple sake of wanting to engage in hatred.

Doesn't really matter if you laugh or not. You want a reason so you can dismiss it, but since you pre-dismiss every reason regardless there is no point giving it.

You can add 5) those who think the NRA has gone soft since it won't fight the hughes amendment or NFA. We do exist

See you just proved my point, yet again. There is no honesty in your side of the discussion ergo there is no point discussing it.

I agree but that was not a realistic option for one of our resident gun banners or gun restrictionists

The real dishonesty comes from the anti gun posters who pretend crime control is why they hate gun ownership and the NRA. I think I hit on the head your opposition to the NRA and you don't wish to admit it. Since you refuse to say, I am at liberty to decree what the reason is based on 40+ years of deign with the anti gun movement

Total horseshit. Charlottesville police officers are saying they were ordered to stand down by the mayor
