Well, to be fair - our army develops an unmanned land vechicle, Uran 9. There's lot of arguing about it, so.. It pretty much can end up being a failed cancelled project. Or not. Time will tell.

Generally to me it reminds of interwar tanks of XX century - it looks so small.. Fragile even. So personally I highly doubt it, but... That's my opinion, I am not a mechanic.


Also seems Israel is more or less succesfully uses unammed vechicle Guardium on a border patrol duty.

They won't, but they can be a good asset to live force. Albeit they have plenty of their own specific issues.

 

First of all immediately agreed on not escalating that into a military conflict between the countries. And then - put sanctions on Turkey until in 27 of June turkish persident gave formal apology for the incident.

And with that the diplomatic crisis was ended and sanctions are being lifted. And today's relations between countries appear to be pretty much fine.


So, what we did was - used diplomacy and not a brute force to resolve this regretful situation without any further casualties in equipment or even worse.

 

That is all very different from drones taking over all combat missions in the air or on the ground

Somewhere there is a happy medium between the 2 extremes of letting it sit around to collect mothballs, and wearing it out flying useless missions in foreign lands.

IMO that happy medium would be keeping it at home defending this country from foreign attack. Advancing empire by way of military aggression is not good use.

Well, tanks were a revolution in warfare in the past, but never replaced the infantry. I assume same would be with drones..? Becoming asset to people, but not fully replacing them.

Makes me wonder, though, if our military plans introducing aerial drones for border patrol. If that even can be useful with the landscape. Considering scale of borders of our country it actually may be a miracle for border guards, if it is capable of working out.
