The only stupid and unqualified assessment is the one that insists this president is ok - that his insults, slander, lies, hollow promises - that those are worthy of dismissal.

If that were true he never would have made it this far, he would have destroyed himself years ago.

 

He did manage to take take out some of his subcontractors when he declares bankruptcy ... funny how slippery people manage to build a s**t sandwich and then make other people eat it.

 

Should have told the contractors to do what they said they would in the agreement they signed.

 

You realize the contractors FINISHED their contracted work. Bankruptcy meant Trump could pay them pennies on the dollar that he already OWED them. That is what bankruptcy allows you to do do - not pay for work completed. But those contractors had to pay their subs full boat.

 

I don't think Trump filed bankruptcy just so he didn't have to pay contractors.

He's paid almost all of his contractors you know.

What is likely, and investigations may prove, is that he has made a "deal" with Russia for favorable loans and Wikileaks dumps on Hillary in exchange for favorable treatment. He is certainly treating Russia favorably, and we know that his son, Kushner, and Manafort met with Russians for the express purpose of assistance in the election. What took place in that meeting and what other meetings there were I hope the investigations reveal.

 

I don't think his mental illness is age related.

He is a narcissistic sociopath. All his life he was told he could do no wrong, and never accepted responsibility for anything. He has no loyalty, no character, no ethics, and no moral compass.

It appears very likely that he, and his campaign may well have colluded with agents of a foreign government to influence domestic American politics. That would be treason, if a case emerges.

That being said, impeachment is a political process.

The Republican party sold its soul to this arrogant man child, and now the world waits for his next twitter tantrum. The fecklessness of GOP leaders over the past few years is hard to understate. First it was Sarah Palin, a cartoon candidate whose only real talents were looking good in a pencil skirt and being able to shout red meat slogans to morons. Then there was a whole possee of crackpots, from Sharon Angle, to Herman Cain.

And now, the ultimate carnival barker, Donald Trump. A man who has made an entire career out of being a phony.

He will only be inpeached if he becomes such a liability to the GOP taht they decide that they'd be better off without them.

Oddly, he seems hell bent on testing the limits of that proposition.
