After 9-11 and Hurricane Sandy, some folks argued that God hates NYC due to homosexuality, Liberalism and multiculturalism.

Now, 50 inches of rain have fallen upon Texas since Saturday. More rain coming.

Did Texas upset God? Was their support for Trump a factor in all this?

The easy answer is that there is no god. This answer perfectly accounts for all your worries, OP.

God doesn't hate Texas, but some places in the world just aren't meant for Human Settlement, like Tornado Alley.
God can't help it if people decide to live in places prone to natural disaster.
Same with Bangladesh. God's probably hating all the attention TX is getting compared to Bangladesh.
    It's unfair.

If someone wants to stay in Oklahoma for example, and a twister destroys their lives, who do you blame? God or the people in God's way?

    Now look at London.
No Hurricanes, no tonadoes, no rattlesnakes.
God loves Britain because Britain is habitable.
Look at tornado alley, a bunch of bible bashing rednecks who study the bible until they lose all sense.

Srsly though, what ****ing moron would live here?

Because, if this is The Bible Belt, then God hates The Bible Belt.
I'm sorry to say it, but what on Earth were you thinking being blind, proud, high and mighty, open as a closed door. Is there any wonder why bad things happen to stupid people? People who knowingly settle here.
God might be blinding people from the light, with their lives and roots in God's way.
I hate that people seem to think that this part of the world fit to live with out investing into more than wooden houses.

Truthfully, God has better things to care about than this.
    Okay.
What about the hundreds or thousands of people dead in Bangladesh flash floods last week?
Are the people of Bangladesh any less stupid?
The Mudslide in Sierra Leone! Where they not as dumb as those in this part of the world?

    The answer is no.
Politics and circumstance might prevent people from leaving places with extreme weather, however, nobody said a bunch of white people had to settle in North America and building ****ing wooden houses and settle here - That is dumb.
It's not like we don't care as people but when you say 'God hates TX', then you're saying God hates Sierra Leone, God hates Bangladesh. Maybe people are or aren't stupid to bible bash, but people need to understand -
    **** doesn't happen in Soho.
I love Soho, does that mean God loves Soho?
I know Jimi Hendrix R.I.P loved Soho...
Has God given up on Soho?

Pretty mean statement. Not sure what us Okies have done to illicit such hatefulness. Perhaps it just makes you feel whole or something?

IDK, does it matter what reasons I say it?
Tough love Baby, I love you, but you decided to settle there, power to you and good luck but, c'mon.
It doesn't matter what book you read, if you live in a place like that, in a wooden house, you're ****ed. To run the risk of getting ****ed every storm season, to be clued up on weather terminologies such as Storm Cell - It's on you, not God...

Always fun to play with the Evangelicals ...

"God made George Bush President," they say.
"So God controls who is President," I ask.
    "Yes," they say.
"So Bill Clinton and Barak Obama were God's choice for 16 years," I say.

When something like this happens and people's like "Oh God!" 'God is angry at us".. I mean, yeah, he's angry at all the bigotry and creationism, but he isn't sending his wrath, if anything he's shouting 'GET OUT OF THE WAY! WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING THERE? DON'T THEY KNOW I'VE GOT HURRICANES AND TORNADOES GOING THROUGH THERE? WHAT IS THAT? ARE PEOPLE LIVING THERE? 'HEY! GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!' 'I mean, I don't hate you BUT GET OUT OF THE WAY'...
Is what God would be telling that part of the world, if he could.

Most all of the United States is prone to natural disasters, from earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, floods, wildfires, northeasters, blizzards.... UK sounds boring:)

In my life I've seen New Orleans, Detroit and Houston fall now.
Time to start making the US more urban and less 'houses made out of wood' mentality.
You have mud, make your own bricks.
London has brick houses, can't you?

Tornados can knock down brick just as easy as a wooden frame house. We had some bricks fall on top of people just a few weeks ago when we were paid a quick visit in the deep of night.

My neighbor lives in a house specially made, entirely out of concrete and steel and it is said to be tornado proof. Cool looking home, looks like a spaceship.

Those who have an imaginary friend - What did Texas do to piss off god?

I've lived in the Tulsa area for more than 40 years. Last year was the only time I personally had saw a tornado(small). Great place to live.

I dont believe God hates anyone or anything. People who fully believe in him seem to find a way to deal with hardship better than non believers.

Yes, Zeus got pissed at Texas for not being followers of Zeus. Don't get Zeus angry. Or maybe it was Thor. Or maybe Nanook. Or maybe Brahama. Or maybe Chuck Norris, or Bigfoot.

Of course he does(!) - that psycho murdered virtually all of humanity, and that psycho even murdered virtually all (INNOCENT!) ANIMALS in his savage "flood" in the barbaric Bible. I've still not met one Christian who will condemn him for that - Christians can't even muster the moral courage to condemn GENOCIDE, then! I'm glad I left the cult of Jesus - best thing I ever did. I you can't condemn genocide then you can't be a moral person.

Uh, that country's monarch is also officially head of the official CHURCH of the nation. So of course Britain is very religious.
