The Federal Constitution doesn't mention public education or giving 143 countries foreign aid but for some strange reason the government does fund those things and countless more.

If the GOP were to succeed in ramming through this stinker without CBO analysis, Americans will inflict intractable pain upon them in '18 and '20.

What you are advocating is basically a racist argument because some black people or other minority might benefit from the program. It's the same reasoning racists used to deny black people unemployment benefits unless the black community contributed 50% of the cost to support payments to unemployed blacks. And it's the reason blacks couldn't get covered by the Social Security program for years.

The simple reason why we don't have a good national health care plan is because of racism. The powers that be don't want blacks and other minorities to benefit. And then there's the greed factor.

Anyone with five brain cells in his noggin would simply examine all of the plans from other countries and see what works and what doesn't work. He would then incorporate the best features into a comprehensive plan for America. But that will never happen because of our overt racism. We would rather let the masses suffer than allow 100 black people get "undeserved" benefits.

Those are both excellent points! I hate the idea of all private property being taxed to provide public schools for people who decide to have children. Why should people who NEVER HAD CHILDREN be so taxed...?! And, why should we be squandering money on "foreign aid"? Especially when our infrastructure is crumbling and falling apart, from border to border, and coast to coast?

But here's the big difference... those who are furiously clawing in favor of this socialized-medicine ploy say it is a RIGHT. That is not supported in any official document that is part of the foundation of this nation!

Through the voting process, we have bullied ourselves into taxing everybody's private property to provide public schools, and we have also been bullied into providing bribes and extortion-pay -- Oops! I mean, "foreign aid" to all the crum-bum 3rd-world dictators and other crudballs so that they'll roll over for us when we snap our fingers. But, and this is key -- there is no (NO) RIGHT involving having the government give everybody health care and medicine for free as a citizen RIGHT. That is total bullshit fantasy!

Oh, no! And now you're going to make this a "race card" thing?! You CANNOT be serious! This hasn't got one damned thing to do with 'racism', but it is revealing to see how desperate your hyperliberal side is that you've decided to resort to making this some kind of bullshit "RACE issue" instead of calling it out for what it really is -- handout welfare for a segment of society that will not and does not PAY ITS OWN WAY IN LIFE! That segment is mostly made up of parasites, moochers, slackers, and welfare-sucking trash!

But don't start throwing "race cards" over Obamacare. None of us, Left or Right is really that stupid, and it only makes you look just as disreputable and conniving as the Architect of Obamacare himself, Jonathan Gruber!

[IMG]. How in hell can the radical Democrat Left take PRIDE in this...?!

Yes, it is a Human Right. And, yes, you have your 2d Amendment right. No one is coming to confiscate your weapons. If you are a member of the NG, you could ask your commanding officer to take your weapon home.

    And?

We have evolved so that women and older teens can vote, blacks are not slaves, Hispanics and Asians and all people of darker colors have the right to be citizens and to vote.

You live in 1789. 99.5% of don't want to, I think.

No one ever said we Deserve or Demand Free Healthcare.

We want government to organize a efficient comprehensive Healthcare Plan that works as good as the rest of the industrialized nations.

Our government can create the Biggest Military in the world. Visit far flung planets. Create a fairly good weather prediction agency.

Why does the wealthiest Nation with the Largest GDP have the most expensive and worst Healthcare system ?

Our President campaigns on creating the best and cheapest Healthcare system.

Congress offers 3rd world's country healthcare.

This, 1000 times this. It's the only thing to do at this point. Fix the problems with the ACA, or come up with a solution that lowers costs for ALL Americans, ensures quality healthcare, doesn't bankrupt the country, and is sustainable for many, many decades.

This disgrace of a plan that Graham and Cassidy have coppled together is going to end up being a far bigger disaster than the ACA ever was or ever will be. It will ensure that the GOP loses the majorities in the House and Senate, and very likely individual state legislatures and governorships. How can they not realize this?

No, Jake, this isn't 1789. What an astounding revelation! Oh, and BTW, the areas of change you mention were, indeed, successfully addressed by Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Hint: if you don't like the Constitution, then AMEND it....

Obamacare itself was never anything but lies and fraud, followed by unimaginably unaffordable costs, and more lies! Its primary architect, Jonathan Gruber spitefully attributed its acceptance to the "STUPIDITY OF THE AMERICAN VOTER". It should have been pronounced as 'unconstitutional' in the Supreme Court because no one should ever be forced to BUY anything simply in order to be a living, free American citizen. Why Chief Justice Roberts deliberately, and ILLEGALLY, re-wrote the law, all by himself, to be a "tax" instead of the "mandate" that Democrats passed and that Obama signed, is not understood or explainable to this day!

But in a greater sense, this is nothing but a half-assed attempt at "Socialism-lite", American-style. It already has failed throughout all of civilization, along with all the other failed or bypassed government "ism's" of the past -- Communism, Monarchism, Fascism, Tribalism, and Feudalism join Socialism in the trash-pile of failed human experiments in government.

But I don't blame Democrats for the fact that this wretched, fraudulent excuse for a government 'system' is still in existence today. No. I blame REPUBLICANS -- primarily the RINO's, for keeping this wealth-redistribution scheme alive. We could have been rid of Obamacare within the Trump Administration's first 100 days but the cowardly, chicken-sh*t RINO's stabbed every Conservative in the back, and now we're stuck with this monstrosity.

Yes but of course Trump also promised great health insurance for all. So we now have one more big lie. And it is hilarious after all those Republican complaints about how the ACA was passed this bill is going to be voted on with no cost scoring, no committee debate and no real floor debate.

what is the standard your using to determine best and worst health care?
if you are using accessibility and cost then you have a point but that would be the same as saying the old Volkswagen Beetle is a better car then a Rolls-Royce
I would use the standard of results the survival rate of those that come down with an infliction over accessibility and cost and if you use results as your standard the American health care system is the best in the world

Conservatives are demented over this issue, and will do anything to destroy something created by Obama. Even if it has saved lives. Today's conservatives can't build anything, they only destroy.

The GOP's seven year jock itch over "ObamaCare" has had them scratching frenetically in a very embarrassing manner for far too long.

Rather than inextricably associating the health care reform with the popular president that had them in a perpetual hissyfit, a little prescience might have permitted them to nickname the legislation something like "VoldemortCare." Folks would have cringed at its every mention, and bleated, "Get rid of the bloody thing!" Associating it with a POTUS who left office with 59% approval was a very dumb thing to have done.

Alternatively, they might have avoided the endless torment if they had refused to give credit to the twice-popularly-elected President they were hellbent on destroying, and dubbed the Affordable Care Act "RomneyCare" after the Republican who enacted the model legislation, extolling the individual-mandate approach as "the ultimate conservative idea!"

As they now strain to pass one piece of crap after another that will be infamous as Trump®Care (and the antithesis of his promised "something terrific!" that "covers everybody!") they would do well to consider making the few needed tweaks in the extant law and changing the name.

Every American should be able to have superior health insurance. For many years in this country, superior health insurance, with no "deductibles", or "co-pays" were what nearly all of us had.

Guess what? We can still have superior health insurance! You simply contact health insurance companies, select the degree of coverage you want for your needs at prices you wish to pay and -- LIKE MAGIC -- you've got health insurance that you pay for, that is exactly what you want.

There is no (NO) reason that buying health insurance coverage should be any more difficult than buying any other kind of insurance coverage. The difficulty is created when a pack of welfare-sucking, radical Democrats want the government to give it to them for free with "subsidies". The answer? Get rid of the blood-sucking parasites, and you get rid of the problem!

What is especially ludicrous, of course, is that advanced nations have all arrived at variations on the same paradigm that covers everyone at far lower cost - precisely the goals that Trump promised to achieve.

Fanatical ideology can no more nullify that empirical reality than it can anthropogenic climate change, but such is the tenacity of blind faith.

Eliminating the superfluous middleman that feeds off the system would provide enormous savings, as well as eliminate their profit-driven desire to exclude sick Americans as unprofitable and, thus, uninsurable, but the insurance cartel wields powerful control over politicians.
