Stop Pretending You're A Patriot

I disagree with their premise. I don't care how they protest. They're still wrong. But keep calling Americans racists so we'll end up with four more years, please carry on.

Again, this is like "I have to admit jeffery dahmer's diet is somewhat distasteful, but hey, nobody is perfect right?" It's not just that he lacks diplomacy, he also lacks character, integrity, honesty, competence, intelligence, work ethic, respect for country or anything. Of course all candidates are fatally flawed, this is a completely different level of all things terrible, and there has been nothing good. Not my opinion, just the way it is.

Other than backing into a terrible election, and a bad reality tv show. I don't think he has ever done anything but destroy everything around him. Whatever thinking ahead he does, it's always failed. And lets be honest, trump is ABSOLUTELY intensely worried about each and every whiner. Way more so than any other politician ever. Never seen skin that thin on... well anyone, let alone someone that in the public view.

Oh really? So the supposed solution was someone who put any national welfare and future way behind his view of what his image should be? Especially when that image is not a successful and competent leader of a country, but rather absolute and unconditional refusal to ever concede anything. That really seems to be his only real principle. No matter how much it hurts the country or any part of it or those around him, or impossible it makes it to do his job, that's his principle. Couple that with a refusal to learn how to do his job or anything about the world, severe lack of intelligence and a mouthy twitter account, and you have many many things that need to be conceded. It's embarrassing.

Then you aren't really offended by football players either. It isn't a gruff nature, its petulant whining of a weakling. I am aware that this is a pretty great country, and even the status quo is pretty great. Every single piece of evidence that exists shows that any changes he makes will only make things worse. You just have to look at how he destroyed his businesses, and how he badly he runs is administration, only a small number of the many many reasons to be sure he will be terrible at anything he does.

There is no doubt that trump can't do it. Integrity and self respect are some of the primary victims of this administration. Inferiority complexes and twitter wars will absolutely only make things worse.

None of these are things that trump really even pretended to offer. What he offered was being a dick. Pissing off people (mostly Americans) is what he offered. And, to be fair that's what he delivers.

Since the NFL is a workplace, I believe the owners should determine in any case whether the players must stand or if they want to take a knee.

On my part, I used to be a die-hard NFL fan, but I have not watched a game since Robert Kraft and Bill Belicek allowed Patriots players to take a knee.
Since Annheiser Bush is a sponsor, I also stopped buying Michelob Ultra.
I used to buy mainly Ford - but Ford is also a sponsor, so any vehicles I purchase from now on will never be a Ford.

I'm pissed because I loved the Patriots and now they are gone. I liked the taste of Michelob and now it is gone - and I loved Ford made in America - but now they are gone. Good riddance!

It is difficult to understand how Trump fans can be so ignorant of a major story that has been on the networks for days.

The week before Trump's comments nine black players out of 1700 took a knee during the anthem, nine! The weekend after Trump's moronic comments, over 200 took a knee, whole teams did not come out on the field for the anthem, and protests took place in parking lots of football stadiums across the country, some violent.

Various protests occurred in one form or another the following week.

That is what happened, and this has nothing to do with Obama. BTW, Kaepernick is no longer in the NFL. His unemployment began before Trump's ludicrous remarks.

 

That little movement died the same day it happened. Virtually no one is taking a knee now. Players are actively preparing for black balls next year, and even kaepernick said they've completely strayed away from his initial message.

It collapsed. It's no more. The "cause" you believe in does not exist. Try another one.

 

Trumpsters just don't get it. I guess it is too complicated for them and they have a convenient memory. This is not about flag and country.

Trumpsters want to forget what really started all this, and it wasn't nine football players disrespecting the flag and country. What started this ludicrous controversy over a game were statements made by Trump. Yeah, I know, you wanted to forget that. So does every Trumpster. It makes suddenly boycotting your favorite football team and quarterback or running back really stupid.

In the Deep South, to a nearly all white crowd, to his fire-breathing base, Trump fed them red meat. The week prior, nine black football players out of nearly 1700 players took a knee during the anthem in a silent, peaceful protest, itself an American tradition. Trump called those nine black football players sonsabitches. The crowd cheered wildly.

He wasn't through. Then he called on the NFL owners to fire those black players. The crowd cheered wildly again.

I told you it was red meat for his followers.

Trump still wasn't through. He then called on all Americans to boycott professional football. The football-loving Alabama crowd was a little muted on that one.

That is what started this moronic controversy over a game loved by millions of Americans, including Trumpsters.

Now they don't love it anymore because their hero has spoken. Talk about being stupid.

The insane controversy even involved a stunt by veep Pence that cost the American taxpayer over $242,000. Talk about being stupid.

 

obama didn't dodge the draft. trump isn't investing in us, he is pandering. And, while you can try to cherry pick certain instances, in the end obama is better than trump in pretty much every way, that's just the way it is. That isn't a defense of obama.

All that being said, you can hate obama, but you can't respect trump.

 

I didn't even vote for Trump. I respect the office, don't agree with a lot of his policies, like staying in Afghanistan.

But he's my President. He's doing an okay job. Supporting him in absolutely no way makes one un-American or any disrespect to the flag. Anyone saying otherwise hates our constitution and everything our nation stands for. I hope for your sake you were trolling.

This mess created by Trump is far from over. Last weekend, a few hundred players, black and white, took a knee. The commissioner is bringing the issue up at the next owners' meeting.

I didn't mention any cause. I provided information on what happened.

 

What issue is Goodell bringing up? The reason for taking a knee is so that alleged police will be nicer to black people.
