Yep, and Fo卐 really has gone all-in on trumpism these days, it seems. Sad! They don't want to risk losing their favored audience of right-wing kooks to the "alternative" (fake) news media out there. The rest of their audience is dying off quickly..

Yes "fair and balanced" has always been a total illusion, hasn't it?

Did you notice that the "no spin zone" has spun its final time?

It says much about a person when they believe that the messanger is the problem.

BIAS is a fact of life. Everyone has it in one way shape or form and that goes for the media, the government, the minister, etc.

What I think you are saying is that you resent the fact that so many consumers do not have the intelligence, intellect or motivation to actually discern what is plausible and true from what is stupid and fake and therefore the media is to blame.

Fox is closer to the American political center than the NYT or any of the leftist media.

You who? Oh, right. Can't tell the truth about Trump, his cult or Faux News without being branded a Democrat or liberal or some such.

No, I think there was a time, albeit briefly, when the press cared more about the facts behind the story than their own biases driving the headlines.

That much is true. But when you have businesses saying they're not biased when they are as biased as one can get, that's a different story.

The first part, I certainly do. But the media itself IS to blame for a large part of it by playing into the gullibility of many of the public and fooling them into thinking the media cares about the truth, when all they care about is their own narrative.

What is edited out is the inconsequential. The important stuff is never edited out... It's there for everyone to see and hear.

My opinion! When I was young, I knew the NYTimes was a liberal paper, and I didn't agree with it, but it was packed with information, and that's what I wanted. I would read through the everyday edition in 20 minutes, and the Sunday edition in two hours..

Today I still want information, and the NYTimes is not giving it to me, nor is the BBC, nor the other MSM's. They leave out everything of consequence, and give us only their conclusion of the news... which is a means of mind manipulation. So I go to the Russian RT and Sputnik.

Now our government wants to destroy RT and Sputnik, since they dare to tell us things they don't want us to know, so they declared RT a foreign agent. This way the Americans working there would quit for fear it would ruin their career. Now some stupid group made a list of all the famous people that went on RT and Sputnik, so as to give views that oppose the views of the MSM, and is calling them idiots. In other words anyone who doesn't agree with the political views of the MSM is helping Russia.

    How low we've sunk. :frustrated::frustrated::frustrated:

I agree the "important stuff" isn't edited out.

In this case the "important stuff" is the edited snippets put together to make this specious piece of rather moronic propaganda.

its there for everyone to see and hear.

the "press" is the only branch of journalism that has always cared about the facts. Cable news cares about the ratings and catering to their demographic for sponsors.

No, its the same old story everywhere you look. Every damn oil company has "green" commercials.

I would agree that the cable news channels only care about controlling the narrative to achieve their corporate goals - high ratings big advertising. Print media is a whole different story. Newspapers for example have a dedicated editorial section in which to express those biases.

An attorney once suggested that when the facts are on your side, pound the facts. When the facts are on the other side, pound the table.

We can tell from this post which side Jonsa thinks the facts are on.
