The Majority of Trump's "offensive" Statements Are Just Truths That Sensitive People Can't Handle

I was reading through lists that people and media sites consider his most "offensive", "racist" or "misogynist" comments. In fact all of the examples were true statements, albeit some are admittedly very politically incorrect, but still true.

After reading through these antitrump hate articles I realized something else. Many of these comments were said 15+ years ago, well before he considered running in 2016. Which means Donald Trump stands for the truth (regardless of how small the issue he embraces the truth) and I've always considered myself a seeker of the truth.

I'm sick of liars and I'm tired of being lied to. Thus, my support for Trump just solidified even harder. Once again the fake media's propaganda had the opposite effect it intended...at least on one man.

 

There’s truth, then there’s just being downright rude. Calling New Hampshire, for example, a “drug infested den” regarding the Opioid Crisis is not how you win NH voters. It’s simply being downright rude. It’s the same as you don’t assume Mexico has good people (such as Trumps “not sending their best” comments) There ARE good people to every nation.

So you're saying that his service in Vietnam and the five years he spent being tortured as a POW don't make him a war hero? And all because you disagree with his foreign policy positions?

Reasonable minds can differ about McCain's foreign policy ideas. But there's no getting around the fact that he's a war hero. And there's no denying that Trump said McCain wasn't a war hero because he was captured. Apparently if you're captured you're a war coward.

And again, people in New Hampshire don’t want their stare trash talked about when Trump is on the phone with another world leader, which ironically was Mexico at the time of the comment.

When we talk about Mexico not sending their best, we as a nation imply the Mexican govt are involved in these mothers and children coming here, which we neither know is true or false. From day one, Trump had potholes in his statements.

The truth can be expressed in a powerful and sincere way, without alienating or stereotyping or labeling groups of people. This isn’t about liars, but how America addresses truth.

Since many of us have already been desensitized by statements from previous POTUS , Trump statements just seem like a rock falling into water, makes a splash, ripples go out, and then a swamp monster from Capital Hill is awakened, attempts to grab hold of Trump and drag him into the lake.

The problem with offensive statements isn’t whether they’re true or not, though there is often fuzziness in their truth created by rhetoric often involved too. Independent of any of this, Trump has unquestionable made false statements too (offensive or not). All politicians do that of course, though Trump can be somewhat more brazen about it. I don’t see him as especially distinct from the general political swamp, neither better or worse overall.

Another general politician thing but that does suggest either major shifts in opinion over the years (which should be openly admitted) or politicians tells us what they think we want to hear rather than what they actually believe.

I think there is a deeper narrative, one the media shares part of the responsibility for, though it’s a much wider social issue, one that seems all too common in the US. You’re under the common impression that you have to be either definitively for or against Trump (or any other politician). It’s not about individual policies or statements, it’s pure personality politics. Some people have decided to like the guy and some people have decided to hate him and pretty much nothing he actually says or does is going to change any of their opinions. After all, he referenced this himself with the “I could shoot someone in Time Square…” comment during the election.

 

The racism from progressives is not startling and pretty much expected since they have nothing else.
