There are many people in these discussions who would like to have guns completely banned altogether, with only the government and police having them. Well, if you're one of these people there is one question you have to answer: What about security guards? Should private security guards be completely disarmed also? If there's a bad guy who wants a gun, what's to prevent him from registering as a security guard? And who should be allowed to get security guards? Only rich and famous people? Only high level politicians that need protection? What about people who've had death threats made against them? A lot of you may be completely ignorant on this subject but there are a lot of businesses that need security guards because of the nature of their business or because they're located in a bad area. If Korean store owners weren't allowed to have guns, a lot of liquor stores would close. Ok, might not be an entirely bad thing there, but you'd also have more markets having to shutter their doors in crime-ridden areas and people in these communities would have even less access to fresh fruits and vegetables than they do now (this is a big problem in cities like New Orleans, Chicago, Detroit, Memphis, and Camden).
I spent time in the security field; not as a uniformed guard but as a private contractor, mostly providing personal protection services. Those of us on the detail were certified and licensed to be armed, and went through strict vetting when we were hired. We actually had far more stringent firearms qualification requirements than the Federal LE agency I worked for. Anyone who says guns need to be banned altogether, with only police and military having them, is ignorant of the Constitution and how a free society works.
Most people start out early in crime and as such, their criminal past precludes their obtaining a job in security merely to "obtain" a gun. They will not pass the required scrutiny.
Why are we even having this discussion in the first place?? Until you either repeal or amend the 2nd amendment, nothing is going to happen; you'd be better off talking about grip handles instead.
Its integral to the 30 bullet per second clip bayonet. ghost gun grenade launchers cant target children without the gonkolator armature.
Let's take a little look at how things work in Mexico, a country with strict gun control laws: In Mexico, armed guards take over as police are nowhere to be seen Seems like in Mexico only issuing guns to police and no one else hasn't ended up being a practicable solution there.
