"Trump’s son Eric Trump owns the Trump Winery. The president bought the property in 2011 from Patricia Kluge, who had established it in 1999 as one of the first major wineries in the region."

“Snape said the wine sales show that the Trump administration may be improperly directing business to the first family’s companies."

Appears it is not only hotels and country club memberships

If the Democrats somehow do mange to win the House in 2018 and start investigating the President's ties to his businesses this Administration is going to look like Teapot Dome

The investigations should be belligerent and numerous.

2018, nah, if it happens it will all hit the fan in 2020, when the President is in his gym rally mode

So because a private business sells Trump wins, it shows proof of what?

There isn't even a hint of something scandalous here.

    So much for personal responsibility.

Other than perhaps optics, there doesn't seem to be a problem here. Trump wines have been sold at this store for some time, throughout 2016 and up to September 2017. The company who owns the store likes to buy local and the Trump winery is local. That being said, it looks like the store will stop selling Trump wine, they don't need the hassles, LOL. Given that Trump's administration is raising prices for National Parks entry, Trump wine is something park users may not want to see on the shelves. Hell, the optics just aren't good. Link below....

Now why would a company that sells wine to National Parks suddenly now start stocking the Park with Trump brand wine? Probably for the same reason membership in Trump Country Clubs where the President often visits went up in price and are selling like hot cakes after he became President.

Proof, no, hint definitely, keep in mind he hasn't disassociated himself from the businesses and if using his office to stimulate business it is a crime

Or maybe the guy that does the ordering though that Trump wine would be a seller since he's the president.

Since neither of us has any way of knowing that, there is no reason to make wild assumptions. Show me something a LOT more definitive.

I agree. If this was just his idea or they sold it before then there's no story.

Actually, they didn't 'suddenly now start' anything, but they did suddenly stop selling the wine after selling it for years.

    FAKE NEWS ALERT!!!
    FAKE NEWS ALERT!!!
    FAKE NEWS ALERT!!!

Calling this a "National Park store" puts the impression in peoples minds that this store is somehow an official entity of the National Parks system, ie the federal government.

    It isn't...

    Second paragraph:
In other words its a private business operating as a vendor under a licence from the property holder.

Look up Delaware North, its a privately held hospitality business not a government entity.

    Eight paragraph:
It very clearly states that the National Parks Service DOES NOT have specific control over what is sold therefore there is no way Trump could have directed the NPS to force the store to sell his wine.

This is absolute nonsense designed to appeal to the confirmation bias of people who read no further than the headlines.

    Yeah this is common.

For example, fast food chains are located on military bases, but are independantly operated.

    WE NEED A SPECIAL PROSECUTOR!

Sometimes I'm torn between excessive eye-rolling and outright falling off my chair laughing at the depths of democrat desperation to find anything to cling to in their angst.

I was going to ask if the OP even read the article past the headline, because it sure doesn’t seem that way.

    For real?

Did I say the Parks Dept was buying the wine, no, love the way conservatives all jump on what they think is a "gottcha," which turns out hysterical when they are wrong

Point being the company suddenly now decided to supply the Park, which it has the contract to do, with Trump wines, think that might help their chances keeping that contract? Or do you think it was all just coincidental?

Same thing with the President's Hotels and Country Clubs, because he hasn't disassociated himself from the businesses, if it was ever established that he was using the office to profit personally the Administration would fall

It’s the the whole idea of oh look! He’s doing illegal things! Corruption galore! Bigger than Teapot Dome!

Reading the article it’s nothing like that.

So no, I don’t really think you read the article. If you did, you certainly weren’t paying attention to it.
