Sadly, a popular actor/actress has more power than your average Congressmen, because NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING OVER THERE. Yes, but it's also due to the apathy of our elected officials and the fact they can keep getting reelected indefinitely. EVERYONE in every office needs term limits. Much of it is the voters just voting the same people in over and over again, mostly because anyone new gets thrashed by those with too much influence and power due to said LACK of term limits.
