    Which is relevant because....?
Did the proportions of the populations change significantly between those times?
    No?
    You argument remains moot.

Bad news - for you anyway.
It takes just 13 of these states to block an amendment.

    Bigoted, unsupportable nonsense.

You made an argument that was false.

Now read up on what the Connecticut comprimise was. You would understand much more about what the real debate was if you understand what they were actually debating

    No. I did not.
Contrary to your claim, the founders were very well aware of the disparity between the populations of the states, and yet still elected to give each state 2 senators.

The very definition of irony. Smug. Indifferent. Pejorative. This is our new socialist elitism on full display.

Actually, it is supported by evidence and demographics as well as their voting patterns, their voices and their actions. I work in rural America, I know of what I speak.

If the shoe fits, wear it. The use of the term socialism as if it were a pejorative when it relates to transfers of wealth from cities to urban areas is a sign of your inability to grasp reality, you live in a fantasy world. Cities support rural America with money and up until recently, with the political will and power to subsidize them out of a concern for national and regional needs. The more rural America trashes us, the less generous we will become and when our generosity ends, rural America will die. It is already happening but the morons in rural America cannot grasp who is really picking their pockets and destroying their communities. They will never really grasp it because fundamentally, they are fundamentalists, die hard Christian fundamentalists who cannot and will not deal in reality.

Rural America: high graduation rates, low crime rates, high legitimacy rates. Yeah, a real liberal nightmare.

When was the last time there was a riot in rural America?

I don't suppose that after having written this, you see just how silly your comment is? Probably not. I also suppose that a reading is fundamental admonition here is fruitless. Sooo.... Just remember that actions have consequences. Feel free, whenever it becomes convenient for you, to wherever possible to be less generous. Perhaps this is a life goal of yours? Perhaps not. Be smug. It's exceptionally useful and provides prodigious teachable moments from which the rest of us can point to. Excellent work here.

I wonder where the city folk intend to get their steaks, burgers, chicken, pork, lamb, milks, cheeses, vegetables, grains, breads, fruits and food in general. Not to mention mined natural resources and the innumerable products they produce, like wood, concrete, toilet paper, light bulbs, appliances and remote controls. And where will they go to get away from it all, to camp, fish, hunt, or just drive. Cities are not self sufficient. They are utterly dependent. Okay, I'm done. Sorry for barging in. I just wanted to address that one point.

Where they always do, the grocery that magically has stock. Restaurants, because they have magic supply, especially McDonalds, right? It just kills me when the smug run off on tangents like this, recall where we get Cobalt from, and how that impacts the ability of Tesla to treat them to autonomous "green" driving......

Such a riot would only be by outside agitators. Well, I'll say no more.

I learned that we should not even attempt to pander to those voters, if they voted for Trump and this Congress then they are beyond redemption. The first imbalance in national voting was in 2000 with 500k voters getting ignored. The second was last year with 3 million voters getting ignored. If the next election ends up with 5 or 10 or 20 million voters ignored by the Electoral College, expect chaos.

I've lived in big cities, London, Los Angeles, now I live in the middle of rural New Mexico.
    The difference.
My neighbors are American and speak English, they are not every nationality under the sun where each speaks their own language and each refuses to learn or teach their multiple children English.
If a neighbor falls on hard times we all band together to help him until he's back on his feet, we don't get told that we have to help this poor unfortunate who has never worked a day in his life to sit around all day doing nothing except complain how little he's given.
When filling out a form we will not put down 'Welfare recipient' as our full time employment.
I have a gun in my house. Why? because everyone else does, and the attitude is that if you want to know what sort of gun it is, just break in one night. (Hat off to Jeff Foxworthy)
We earn a living by making or growing things, you know, the raw materials come in one end and the finished product leaves at the other end. Farcebook, Twatter and all the other similar companies produce, well nothing. Well OK they keep the gutter press in stories and keep the population in check by suicides if someone doesn't get enough likes or get bullied on-line.
Say what you will about rural America, but I will always consider it as the real America.
As a side note, I emigrated to the US in 96 from England and became an American citizen a few years later.
I'm an American, I'm not British-American or any other permutation of the two countries. America is the greatest nation on earth where you can still succeed by simple hard work, and for me to call myself anything other than an American is an insult to my adopted home.
I am a proud American redneck (with an accent).

This is why your side can't be taken seriously by anyone just left of center, center, and the rest of the way over.

Does it feel good knowing you've destroyed your chances at future elections for atleast a decade?

I have a similar story. I've lived all over the place from liberal cities to conservative small towns. Liberal cities are more racist than conservative small towns is one thing I've found. Just a better place to live in general.
