    Yes, yes ... and how is it possible to prove that this "well-established settlement dating to the fifth millennium BCE" was already Jerusalem?

    Saying 4,000 years ago, I've been optimistic anyway I can accept that "Urusalem" [not Jerusalem] existed as a city around 2,000 BCE. Before of that, there are just archaeological finds ... or have they found a road sign saying "Welcome to Jerusalem"?

    The right perspective of a historian here, is to check if the occupation of that settlement has been continuous [can be prove this?], if the level of settlement has been constant ...

    I live on Lago Maggiore in an area where there were prehistoric settlements around 1,000 BCE [3,000 years ago]. My town had founded around 1,000 CE ... can I sustain that, since this area has been inhabited since 1,000 BCE my town exists since 3,000BCE?

    Let's imagine history doesn't exist and we don't know that my town has been founded around 1,000 CE ...

    Anyway yes, I'm saying the same [just being more accurate]:

    Correct, we agree about this. There was Urusalem with a Servant King of the Egyptian Pharaoh.

    The question was rhetorical - I was answering another poster's comment about how Israel should submit itself to an International law. So, if Israel disarm, would neighboring Arab countries give an international law a second thought before proceeding to destroy each and every Jew in Israel?
