And yet, some will try. And when they fail to knock those results, they will instead give the credit to Obama.

Do the math for yourself using official govt stats (although nov and dec are projections here)

US Bureau of Labor Statistics are official govt stats.

Of course Obama was in the middle of the worst recession in 80 years, while Trump takes office with low unemployment and an reasonably good economy - so you would expect Trump's numbers to be far higher than Obama's was. Just say'n.

    Wonderful set of ideas!

So wonderful that President Obama had proposed many of them and were regularly shot down by Republicans, just like Republicans had shot down raises and supports for our military servicemen!

Where is any of these proposals from Trump? And ALL of this list would be cheaper and faster to be implemented than the "Beautiful Wall That Will Never Be Built".

Perhaps one of Trump or one of the Presidential Kids could stop hiring foreign cooks, dishwashers, and busboys, or stop importing more and more 3rd world slave labor junk jewelry and MAGA caps long enough to address this problem.

    Oh, yeah, Trump is:
    Never mind!

Of course. And on the other hand Donald Trump is not a young photogenic black man who has the good will of the world wide masses, the press and pop culture on his side.

In fact he has had to swim against a very strong current of hate and disapproval that seems only now to be abating a bit.

    Just sayin'.

I don't know about you but I was discussing respective presidential approval ratings.
Who asked you to pity Donald Trump? Not me. Your comment is totally out of left field.

I can't imagine in what "REALITY" you imagine that analogy resembled anything remotely intelligent. Would you want some random who could speak English to just wander into your garage and start living there?

When did I say anything about citizenship? Immigration and naturalization aren't the same thing.

Given that awful attempt at analogy and the inability to read my comment without creating a strawman, I don't think you know what critical thinking is.

We are almost at full employment. Tough to create new jobs when everyone is already working.

Also, you are mistaken to say there is a stagnant labor force participation rate. We are seeing low unemployment rates, include record low unemplopyment in the minority community. Takes a special kind of liberal to get upset by that.

Typical big government progressive answer: blame businesses for the failure of govenrment. It's not the fault of employers that govenrment can't prevent people from crossing lines on a map, and they shouldn't have to incur the added expense and liability for the government's mistakes.

You are talking about government databases and inefficient bureaucrats. I hope, also, that you are willing to pay the price for database mistakes that cost the jobs and livelihood of non-immigrants. I doubt it. Progressives rarely are concerned about the consequences of calling down the hammer of government. More government is the solution to every problem, and private citizens must be blamed for the failures.

Well DUH unemployment is at historic lows with even black unemployment lower than ever recorded. To create a job you have to have someone to fill it. We had the WORST employment numbers in modern history during most of those six years desperately needing new jobs because so many were out of work. And yes the next step is welfare reform and increasing the LFPR which the Democrats never even tried. Their policies in fact encouraged fewer in the workforce.

Assuming that you think things went wrong, are you of the opinion that every attempt at government reform should be ignored because it failed in the past or are you just being glib for the sake of protecting your big government ideals?

Full employment?? Trump said it was like 40% a year ago! Unless we're creating millions of jobs a month that's impossible !
And the LFP rate is what it was a year ago.

Again this is the worst year for job creation in years, and trump said unemployment may be as high as 40%...so how do you get full employment from that?

Yes. What part of that do you not understand?

Here's a helpful clue: When discussing economic terms, "full employment" does not mean 0% unemployment.
WTF are you talking about? Unemployment is a low 4.1% with record lows in the minority community.

It takes a special type of liberal to get upset over that.
