Michigan dairy farmer gets prison time for hiring undocumented immigrants

I believe this is something everyone on the left and right agreed should happen to businesses that hire illegals. If you check out the story, the business owner was nailed for harboring illegals, but California just passed a law basically criminalizing landlords if they turn in tenants they suspect are here illegally.

This story is not getting the media time it should get.

 

Logic: Punish criminals because laws are the glue of civilization.

I think we need sweeping federal laws that set harsh and mandatory punishment for any person, any business, any service, or any government entity that sustains illegals.

Landlords, schools, banks, telecom providers, government offices, you name it.

Dealing with these illegals is like dealing with a pest infestation in your home.

You don't make the house more hospitable to the pests, you do the exact opposite.

The guy was acquitted on all charges related to employing illegal aliens, because like most, they furnished false documents. HIs jail time related to actions surrounding falsifying documents related to income and profits in order to secure loans, etc..

 

How did any of what you said justify Trump commuting his sentence ?

 

From what I understand, his sentence, based on the crime, was deemed excessive, and many argued time served was enough.

However, my point was simply to correct the misinformation regarding hiring illegal aliens.
