Then there is this today.

Once again, it is easy to see why Trump will not hold a full blown press conference with the White House press corps in the press room, something Sarah Sanders does routinely every week. Trump hasn't held a press conference since February.

Today, he held an abbreviated joint news conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg in the White House East Room. After their prepared speeches which took up most of the conference, there was a brief question period for the two officials. They were asked some softball questions from mostly friendly reporters who didn't want to create controversy, enabling both to make speeches to serve as answers to questions.

One intriguing question was allowed. Trump launched into a monologue of lies, re-lived the Election of 2016 for the umpteenth time, and refused to answer the question.

Roberts: "Are you open to meeting with (special counsel Robert Mueller)? Would you be willing to meet with him without condition? Or would you demand that a strict set of parameters be placed around any encounter between you and the special counsel?"

Trump: "Well, again John, there has been no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russians or Trump and Russians. No collusion. When I watch you interviewing all the people leaving their committees, I mean, the Democrats are all running for office, trying to say this that -- but bottom line, they all say there's no collusion. And there is no collusion.

"And when you talk about interviews, Hillary Clinton had an interview, where she wasn't sworn in, she wasn't given the oath, they didn't take notes, they didn't record and it was done on the 4th of July weekend. That's perhaps ridiculous and a lot of people looked upon that as being a very serious breach and it really was.

"But again I'll speak to attorneys -- I can only say this, there was absolutely no collusion. Everybody knows it. Every committee -- I've been in office now for 11 months. For 11 months, they've had this phony cloud over this administration, over our government. And it has hurt our government. It does hurt our government. It's a Democrat hoax that was brought up as an excuse for losing an election that frankly the Democrats should have won because they have such a tremendous advantage in the electoral college.

"So it was brought up for that reason. But it has been determined that there is no collusion and by virtually everybody. So we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens. I mean certainly we'll see what happens -- when they have no collusion and nobody's found any collusion at any level it seems unlikely that you'd even have an interview."

Minutes later he walked out of the room.

This was the President speaking. It was god awful embarrassing.

So was this. "In November, we started delivering the first F-52s and F-35 fighter jets," Trump said. There is no such as a F-52. The order was for 52 F-35's.

 

I believe he reminds EVERYONE around him on a DAILY BASIS that not only is he President but he's the best damn president in history despite the facts.

I can't see how any one can deny he's the president.

OTOH, his behavior towards this "russia hoax - no collusion absolutely no collusion" is the very definition of gross dereliction of duty as President and Commander in Chief, quite apart from all the rest of his baggage . And its sickening to see trumpettes and trolls contorting themselves into the most illogical and nefarious unsubstantiated conspiracy theories in his defense. That is either earning a living or delusional. His character is betraying the nation despite any good intent.

One lousy day, that's all we got, one lousy day. Trump puts on show to prove he is mentally fit in the face of criticism from Wolff's book. As feared, he reverted the next day and made a fool of himself answering one question.

The following day, matters got worse. This morning the Republican-led House was set to vote on controversial legislation renewing the National Security Agency’s warrantless surveillance program. The White House was actively whipping up votes on the bill, which would extend a program that senior officials say is critical to keeping America safe from terror plots. Getting the program renewed with as few changes as possible had been the intelligence community’s No. 1 legislative priority for the past year. Trump's appointee to the FBI supported the measure. Trump's appointees to the CIA and NSA supported the measure. For months the administration had been lobbying for a renewal of the surveillance program.

Trump had been watching "Fox and Friends." So, this morning he tweeted, "House votes on controversial FISA ACT today." This is the act that may have been used, with the help of the discredited and phony Dossier, to so badly surveil and abuse the Trump Campaign by the previous administration and others?"

Confusion reigned on Capitol Hill. What was the President doing? White House chief of staff John Kelly rushed to the Hill to rally support. Somebody told Trump what his position should be. An hour later, he tweeted, "With that being said, I have personally directed the fix to the unmasking process since taking office and today's vote is about foreign surveillance of foreign bad guys on foreign land. We need it! Get smart!"

No thanks to the President, the House passed the bill.

Then came the lies. Trump's first tweet was completely filled with lies, and there is a distinct pattern in the White House. It is lying.

"We don't think that there was a conflict at all," Sanders said of Trump's tweets.

Trump senior counselor Kellyanne Conway insisting to CNN's Chris Cuomo on Wednesday night that "we don't care about (Hillary Clinton). Nobody here talks about her."

That assertion came just hours after Trump brought up Clinton -- without being asked -- in a press conference with the Norwegian prime minister. "Hillary was not for a strong military and Hillary -- my opponent -- was for windmills," Trump said.

And it came just hours before Trump -- as noted above -- mentioned Clinton AGAIN; "Did Dems or Clinton also pay Russians? Where are hidden and smashed DNC servers? Where are Crooked Hillary Emails?"

I saved the best for last.

“I probably have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un, ” Trump told the Journal in a 45-minute sit-down at the White House. “I have relationships with people. I think you people are surprised.”

When asked if he had spoken to Kim, Trump replied, ”I don’t want to comment on it. I’m not saying I have or haven’t. I just don’t want to comment.”

One lousy day.

Yeah, sure.

 

Count electoral votes; they are the only thing that counts.

Obama won because he was Black, not because he actually was a good idea. I live in Illinois, he was our U.S. Senator. I never voted for him for anything because I perceived him as an empty suit. I was right. I voted for Trump because I perceived him as what we needed after eight years of Obama. I was right. The Left going bonkers is way more fun than I expected.
