In general, journalists and politicians are as bad as each other, very much playing the same games with actually very similar intentions. I’ve no doubt this journalist, like many others, regularly asks pointed questions to try to get headline-grabbing responses but then Trump, like many other politicians, regularly makes generic and evasive statements to try to avoid those same headlines (or generate favourable ones). He just isn't very good at it. He was asked some pretty crude questions but they could have been closed down with a brief statement explaining the principles a consistent and coherent immigration policy.

The problem with statements like “I want them to come from everywhere” is that it is in direct contradiction to actual government policy banning immigration from several specific countries (the legitimacy of that policy is irrelevant in this context). It sounds insincere, which will lead people to continue to wonder about the things he’s alleged to have said which obviously triggered those specific questions in the first place. I’m not convinced Trump is aware of how insincere many of his statements sound to a lot of people and it doesn’t seem like he has anyone on his team willing and able to tell him.

 

Race baiting questions are not "hard". They're meant for empty sound bites to whip up the leftist base. You know this, so why the fake shock and drama??

 

Maybe he should just allow his two puppet news organizations in, Fox News and Breitbart.

After months of taking incoming fire from the prime-time stars of Fox News, the Obama White House is firing back, charging that FOX News is different from all other news.

"FOX News often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican party," said Anita Dunn, White House communications director.

"If media is operating basically as a talk radio format, then that's one thing, and if it's operating as a news outlet, then that's another," Mr. Obama said.

And the White House has gone beyond words, reports CBS News senior political correspondent Jeff Greenfield. Last Sept. 20, the president went on every Sunday news show - except Chris Wallace's show on FOX. And on Thursday, the Treasury Department tried to exclude FOX News from pool coverage of interviews with a key official. It backed down after strong protests from the press.

President Trump should follow EX President Obama's lead. Time to revoke Acosta's WH press credentials. There are plenty of other left aligned "journalists" covering the White House.

 

If there were any heroes on the left they would have called out Obama on his B.S. and ulterior motives. They would have convicted Lois Lerner and surely Hillary Clinton and the whole DNC. But they won't! Because they are either cowards caring only for their own skin or they have a mission that is evil but cannot be deterred. And the media is as guilty as the devil in their support of this sickness.

He’s a Democrat who poses as a journalist. Nothing more, nothing less.

 

I think the WH needs to use a means test, in order for permission of a journalist to enter in and ask questions. What test? Oh, the basic test. Get an independent non partisan, honest, journalist, to look at the people from the media who want access, and determine if they are real journalists, by looking at their work to see if they practice journalistic standards. If they do, admit them. If they do not, kick em the arse and send them back to their business of doing propaganda.

I would bet that hardly anyone in that press pool are journalists, if you define that by practicing the standards and exhibit honesty and integrity in reporting. These people would be at home working for the National Enquirer.
