He needs 9 Democrats. Democrats do not make deals. They try to take charge of government as the minority. In the event of a shut down, Democrats own it. Schumer blamed republicans over the last shut down and the situation was about the same as now only that time it was the Democrats that had the Senate.

 

I hope they offer nothing.

I hope that this fight to reopen the government becomes purely about DACA and immigration so that it's very clear to the public what the problem is over.

 

I hear two Republican are saying hey will vote no, two Femocrats are voting yes.

Since there is no way for republicans to prevail, it is on the Democrats that will prevail if they refuse to fund the government.

 

I’m not. I do enjoy seeing them choose a group of illegal immigrants as their target constituents though, right after crying about the importance of the government and such. Hypocrisy is delicious to watch among the democrats.
