    Re: Wolf .. lots of writers use a recording device.. and generally those they are interviewing are aware of it.

    Omarosa may be playing games.. Trump is an awful judge of character. What was her function in the WH?

    She was in charge of African American Outreach.

    Trump however has a habit of asking for advice from anyone he encounters regardless of their role or expertise. He was getting economic advice from Mike Flynn of all people...before...ya know...

    I've never quite understood if an NDA signed by a government employee overrides responsibility to report misdeeds, or if it is the same as signing the Official Secrets Act?
    Isn't a government employees first duty to the government, rather than to a person?

    Well, it's interesting.

    If a recording didn't contain her voice, or was selectively edited on release in such a way that it reflected poorly and inaccurately on another party...

    She could be in big trouble.

    Among other ways she could be in big trouble with this.

    There's a reason the whole thing's frowned on & that people were confused by the law, and it's that doing this except in unusual/extreme circumstances is wrong WITHOUT explicitly informing others that you're doing it, and EVERY time you do it. (And even then...)

    Combine this with the arrogance/recklessness of someone like Omarosa - who should NEVER have been in the WH - and you have potential trouble. Mainly for her.

    Yeah; there are additional concerns.

    She'd be safe in some scenarios, but not others.

    The whole thing was bigly not smart IF true.

    Cover? If she recorded conversations she wasn't party to then she's committed a crime. As I noted, board meetings, committee meetings etc., commonly break out into small groups or engage in side discussions where not everyone is a party to the conversation. I think she's cooked. For her sake I'm hoping she's puffing about the recordings and that they don't exist.

    It gets complicated; as LoL has pointed out. Meetings within meetings occur, phone calls from outsiders to people who may not realize their conversation is being picked up; it gets tangled.

    Basically, she's on the hot seat, and had best pray that this is all exaggerated...
