Looks like majority do not favor holding the budget hostage for illegal aliens.

But the DP shut the government down, so it's the Republican's fault.

That exact same poll has Americans blaming Trump and republicans for the shutdown by a 2 to 1 margin.

Republicans control all 3 branches. If you think you need a supermajority in the Senate to pass a budget, then you are failing at governing.

 

In September 2013, Trump declared, "[P]roblems start from the top and they have to get solved from the top and the president's the leader. And he's got to get everybody in a room and he's got to lead. [Obama] doesn't do that. He doesn't like doing that. It's not his strength. And that's why you have this terrible situation.... It's very embarrassing worldwide."

 

Democrats are just opposing it because it doesn't defund planned parenthood and adds to the debt.

 

There are only two groups of people who benefit from amnesty.

1. Democrat politicians who cash in on the 30 million new votes they would get.

2. The illegals who cash in on the welfare they would get.

Everyone else loses.

 

When asked if they think the budget bill should be held up due to DACA the polls reverse.

Let's not forget in all this blather about Schumer shut downs and deporting 800,000 people (or whatever the real number is) that Obama
"deferred action" was always a sham and de facto legalization of illegal immigration. He put an end date to the program never dreaming
the progressives would lose the White House. Well. surprise!

The leftists are gambling with futures of hundreds of thousands of people (that "voting block" they wanted to save). If they really want to
help these kids they will do some dealing to get what they claim to want. Otherwise they are seen as zealots who want it all.

 

So shut down the government now because of a legal process that could go on months or years? Idiotic

 

That same poll also shows

1. More people blame Republicans than Democrats for the shut down. 47%/31%

2. Trump has a 40% Approval, the lowest in history.

"But Trump's overall approval rating of 40% is the worst for any elected president in the modern era of polling at the one-year mark of their time in office."

3. Trump has a horrific approval on Immigration.

"On the whole, just 38% approve of the way Trump is handling immigration while 57% disapprove, "

 

I lean towards letting the DACA folks stay, but I don't feel strongly enough about it to shut down the government -- and I feel strongly enough about the other things Trump wants negotiated, that I can understand keeping DACA as leverage. It appears I would agree with the 57% of my fellow Independents (Not that I'm big on polls, but you get the point...)

 

I suspected Trump has disapproval coming from both sides on this issue. For everyone who thinks he's being too hard on immigration or who doesn't want a wall, there's probably someone who thinks he isn't being hard enough and wishes the wall was built yesterday.

Trump has 'shot himself in the foot' with that damned "wall" thing. Not many people approve of the "wall", although most of us (except for liberal Democrats) want illegal invasion of this country by ANYBODY to stop immediately!

Oh, wait, there is one other group that wants illegals to continue barging into our country -- the rotten, scumbag American employers who love to hire illegal aliens because they work cheap, with payment delivered "under the table". These employers are the ones who should be exiled to "shithole" countries FIRST, before anyone else is! We could stand a better chance of controlling this monstrosity if we could just narrow down the invaders to only those who are coming in to get all the "free stuff". If American employers wouldn't hire illegal workers, then that would be a huge reduction of the overall problem!

It’s about nothing else because democrats agree with the budget deal. They just want to make it a circus.

 

Trump created the circus, he wanted to broadcast via reality tv that he wanted a bill of love for DACA, all he needed was a bipartisan proposal

he got the bipartisan proposal then changed his mind

 

Democrats do not just agree with the budget deal.

The budget defunds parts of Obamacare and provides zero funding for opioid relief and very little funding for disaster relief.

Ask yourself why you think that democrats accepted everything else about this budget except for daca.

 

It is theatrics on the dems part. They are hoping to get the votes of illegal aliens again like when obama told them to vote.
