Jordan Peterson easily hits on par with Friedman or Sowell.


This is one of the most one sided debates I've heard.

I've seen this girl before. She took on Milo and he ran over her like a fabulous freight train.

I'll hand it to her though she is no coward. It's more typical for the left to interview easy targets like a George Will. Conservatives who may or may not be intellectual but all lack rhetorical brilliance, aka not quick on their feet.

Peterson and Milo are rhetorical powerhouses. If you take them on in a dialogue you are going to lose.

Peterson broke her down. When he turned the interview on her and started psychoanalysising her she broke. His using her as an example of a woman who sits at the far end of the bell curve for women just ended it.

After that she mailed it in.

 

She would hiss and spit and hed smile and restate his point. Attempted strawmen were prevented. Posture. Content.

Just damn impressive.

 

Jordan Peterson is a dipshit. He doesn't actually engage with or understand any of the topics he talks about, he just regurgitates tired out reactionary cliches about why various constructs are inherently valid and creams his pants over how brilliant he is for it. He picks opponents he knows he can wear out through rhetorical trickery and when they commit the fatal sin of getting pissed off at a man whose entire shtick is that all human emotions are laughable his fans cream too.

This is the problem with journalism today.

If she had done 30 minutes of research she wouldn't ask the questions she does. "why does your right to free speech trump my right to not be offended" is a soft ball, but she doesn't know it because she didn't prepare for the interview.

A good journalist is supposed to rigorously and without prejudice research the topic at hand and have some pressing questions which go right to the heart ff the issue.

Unfortunately, journalism is dead. Killed long ago by the echo chamber.
