We need way more than the wall. The wall is only for the drug cartels, human trafficing, and criminals who cannot enter our country legally but then stay past what is legal like other noncriminal illegals do.
There's nothing wrong with taxpaying illegals, except they are breaking federal laws. Businesses hiring them are also breaking laws. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1324a There are penalties under the law. https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/penalties If we don't uphold our own laws, why bother making any?
It doesn't matter, Congress has refused to temporary extend the budget and has refused to pass a budget for 2018 and present it to Obama's desk for his signature. Illegal aliens and amnesties shouldn't have a damn thing to do with the federal budget. The Democrats are demanding that President extends Obama's unconstitutional DACA protections too illegal aliens. They refuse to pass a budget unless Trump supports an illegal amnesty. Let Congress follow the Constitution and write their own DACA amnesty. President Trump doesn't have the authority to legislate from the White House, Trump is only required to enforce the laws that have already been passed by Congress and signed into law.
But these aren't kids, the vast majority are adults. Only .5 % (1/2 of 1 %) are under 16 years of age. These are not children as the left would like you to believe.
Shumer never said how much money. And Schumer is the minority leader and I doubt he has much say so how much of the budget will go towards the wall. That's why Schumer shut down the government.
You need 60 votes in the Senate. The temporary budget has already passed in the House where all they need is a simple majority. They use to teach this **** back in grade school. That was back when America was still great.
I dont even want the wall. Lets put 'the wall' budget into a foreign national criminal database and more resources to enforce immigration. non-violent first time offenders get deported, and move to the 'back of the line' for legal immigration eligibility. violent and/or repeat offenders get imprisonned in THEIR OWN country, with US (wall) money keeping them there (im willing to bet prison in mexico, as an example, is far cheaper than prison in the US, plus a little extra as incentive for their prisons to honor the deal- cuz thats how it works in the third world). And, of course, a streamlined LEGAL immigration program. If Trumps economy keeps going like it is, we're gonna be BEGGING for more workers, like how its SPOSED to be in America.
Pretty close. I want chain migration and the lottery ended too. I think DACA people should get green cards, tax ID numbers, and a pathway. Seth
We should fine the US military for taking those illegal DACA member into the military I would guess and by the why where is your proof that there had been any meaningful voting by non-citizens nor by the way are children being brought over the border by parents had not themselves broken any laws.
What better way to earn your citizenship than to serve honorably in our military? Especially in a time of war.
But before Obama ignored federal law, illegal aliens couldn't legally enlist in the U.S. military. Before DACA which is unconstitutional, illegal aliens were forbidden from serving in the U.S. military. Only an act of Congress can change the law allowing illegal aliens to serve in the military. But Obama did it with just a pen and a phone. Well out of the 700,000 illegal alien DACA aliens, since 2013 only 800 DACA illegal aliens decided to take that route by enlisting accounting for .04% of those serving. I sure wouldn't want a DACA soldier watching my six out in the bush.
I would want a good soldier or Marine at my side. I wouldn't care about where he was from or his immigration status. I wasn't aware of the legal rules of non-citizens serving. But I stand by what I said. If you serve honorably, particularly during a time of war, you've earned it.
Americans, by a wide margin, support DACA: "Do you support or oppose a program that allows undocumented immigrants to stay in the United States if they arrived here as a child, completed high school or military service and have not been convicted of a serious crime?" SUPPORT: 87% / OPPOSE: 11% Americans, by a wide margin, oppose Trump's wall: "Do you support or oppose building a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico?" SUPPORT: 34% / OPPOSE: 63% Call me a populist, but I think that the democratic will should prevail and the American people get what they want in both cases. (I do not believe that the Mexican people should be given a similar say, despite Trump's repeated insistence that they will pay for his wall.)
I would be more than concerned if someone in my rifle platoon held his loyalty to another country than the USA. I don't remember any dreamers who were demanding amnesty waving the American flag but saw a whole crap load of Mexican flags being waved.
Both are false questions. The REAL questions are 1.) should the relatives of illegal immigrants brought to the USA be given citizenship? 2.) Should an additional small portion of the USA Southern border be secured by a physical barrier such as a wall?
Both are true. If you have other polls of Americans concerning your questions, please post links to them.
How about a federal felony and immediate deportation, and permanent immigration ban, for anyone bringing a minor into the country illegally and their "chain", going forward, in exchange for green cards for the existing pre-2018 dacaderos? And no more dacaderos allowed, ever.
