FBI ‘Failed To Preserve’ Five Months Of Text Messages Between Anti-Trump FBI Agents

    By Chuck Ross
    01/21/2018

The FBI “failed to preserve” five months worth of text messages exchanged between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the two FBI employees who made pro-Clinton and anti-Trump comments while working on the Clinton email and the Russia collusion investigations.
The disclosure was made Friday in a letter sent by the Justice Department to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC).
“The Department wants to bring to your attention that the FBI’s technical system for retaining text messages sent and received on FBI mobile devices failed to preserve text messages for Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page,” Stephen Boyd, the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs at the Justice Department, wrote to Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, the chairman of HSGAC.
He said that texts are missing for the period between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.
    ~snip~
The end date of the missing Strzok-Page texts is also significant. That’s because May 17 is the day when Mueller was appointed to take over the FBI’s probe of possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government.
“The loss of records from this period is concerning,” Johnson wrote in a letter sent Saturday to FBI Director Christopher Wray.
Along with its disclosure of the missing text messages, DOJ’s Boyd handed over 384 pages of additional text messages exchanged between Strzok and Page.

Hmm..., I wonder, did Christopher Wray hire John Koskinen to handle his data system? Funny how evidentiary material seems to disappear within those alphabet agencies. So 'Deep Stater's' decided that the fall out from deleting these texts was not as damaging as the actual content of the texts.
Strzok wasn't removed from his post for his political bias. He was removed for his interference during a general election. He should be imprisoned, not reassigned.
During the OIG's investigation, they examined thousands of text messages exchanged using FBI-issued cell phones between Strzok and Lisa Page, a trial attorney on Mueller's team. The texts were sent between August 15, 2015 and December 1, 2016. At the request of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the DOJ turned over 375 of these text messages to the House Judiciary Committee. Some of the texts disparaged then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, Chelsea Clinton, former AG Eric Holder, former Democratic Governor Martin O'Malley, and Bernie Sanders, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.
The damage has already been done by the messages that have already been turned over.
Rep. Jordan Jordan has renewed his call for a second special counsel to investigate the former Mueller team member.
“First the IRS destroyed emails pivotal to our investigation of their political targeting. Now the FBI “failed to preserve” texts between Peter Strzok & Lisa Page following the 2016 election.
It doesn’t matter how many 'Special Councils' they have, the Deep State Alt-Left will still keep destroying evidence.
We need to have charges against them for Obstruction of Justice.

I don't know, what we do know is that there are those in power who would prefer to break the law, than to serve an unpopular POTUS. And that's not good for the country. So as far as I'm concerned: Release all of the data, and let it be known to the American Public that reform of the intelligence community is a necessity for the national interests.

At least you are acknowledging that POTUS is unpopular.

Does your "release all of the data" demand for transparency include POTUS? Because he is the least transparent POTUS in living memory. Just sayin'.

Of course it was both ... Trumps stupidity was believing Clinton / Obamas corruption was limited to the former administration. He was of course ignorant of the fact that career agency personnel had been recruited, and groomed to conduct covert opposition research. Trump, like most of us thought that Lerner, and Lynchs exit would put an end to Obamas legacy of gov't abuses. Trump "woke" now.

He's only unpopular to those that control the media. When reading polls, you have to realize that those polled are not in Red States, or fly over States.

A federal police force is unconstitutional. Abolish it.

That's a great question. Where do you find someone who hasn't been corrupted by the Deep State? We'd have to pull babies from cribs and isolate them from anything government. You do realize, that's at least an 18 year process, right?

If Trump does anything I guarantee Mello will be the first one in here whining about obstruction of justice and wanting orange hair in jail.
