    The GOP has embraced chicken hawk draft dodgers for decades now. Rush Limbaugh was the leader of this new pack of draft dodging war profiteer type "CONservative" gaggle that now make up 80% of Trump's hard core followers. Avoiding the service and profiting from wars is a plus in the new GOP.

    He got the ROTC deferment and then gave it up when he didn't need at anymore. Fraudulently getting a deferment is draft dodging.

    Biden was a Life Guard and Football player in high school, yet his asthma was bad enough to keep him out of Vietnam. Running plays on the gridiron...OK. Swimming furiously to save a drowning swimmer....OK. Running in boot camp in the Army...out of the question. LOLOLOL!

    So NOW you are saying that the entire military's opinion of a president doesn't matter . . . simply . . . because . . . that president happened to have been Barack Obama, and THEY simply had neither like nor any respect for him? Works out well for leftists since apparently the vast bulk of the military currently DOES like Donald Trump, though thinking people do tend to sneer at what passes for rationalization on the Left, considering that it generally ravages logic for cynical political purposes.

    Yes. I don't agree with it. Based on previous comments, and this one. Also, I think it's terrible that someone hides behind American hero's to try and insulate them from any response to their biased partisan rants.

    I'm not sure what it takes to ignore the fact the R's don't have the votes to pass a CR by themselves. Schumer added DACA to the House passed bill, which was being negotiated separately.

    This is Schumer's Shutdown. Period.

    It used to be that lefties loved Draft Dodgers. Now their hordes have been instructed to hate them. Well, with the exception of President Clinton. My brother was medically deferred 3 times. I guess I need to ask him what being a Draft Dodger feels like.

    Well, how in the hell can faux liberals be war mongers when they are too cowardly to serve?

    Clinton dodging the draft is ok, right? lol When he was blasted for this, I said, serving is not necessary. And it is absurd to hold a position that all presidents must serve or they are not fit to be CIC. It is juvenile, as I said before, people driven into acting like they are 5 years old, because they hate trump. The thing is, and here is the hypocrisy, they will not require their next democrat president to have served, if he is of that age to escape the draft during the Vietnam War. So, yes, a hyper partisan juvenile. Nothing more. You will not change my mind, so we may as well drop it to stop me repeating myself.
