What is it you hate about Obama?

That you want to remove his legacy from the history books. Simply a nameless figure as the 44th President. And leave the partisan talking points from Fox out of it. Critics say Obama destroyed this country, divided us, I say far from it.

1. Obama withdrew troops, bringing them home to be with their families. One of his first e ecutice orders was lifting a ban to allow phototography of coffins of the arrival of dead soldiers.
2. Marijuana legislation began during his second term. Colorado, Washington, and many other states have enjoyed tax revenue from the sticky bud.
3. The LGBT community was empowered during this time. As a community that is often ridiculed by society, it was important for Washington to show support.
4. Osama Bin Laden was killed in 2011, so during Obama’s first term. Obama had the humility to call Bush on the day of Bin Ladens death.
5. An effort to improve air quality and work toward green energy was made with the Clean Energy Act and the crackdown on outdated coal mines.

Those are five solid reasons not to hate Obama. Now, I want to know your reasoning (again, leave talking points at the door) why you want to make it as if Obama never existed.

I will add it was under Obama Volvo made the decision to come to the US with a plant in SC building the S90.

 

Obama. Is. Black. You can say I'm "playing the race card" all you want. Obama may not have been as good as President as some (like me) say but he was FAR from being even half bad enough to inspire the kind of vitriolic hatred some conservatives feel. It's like that line from Spielberg's "Lincoln" "He doesn't just hate blacks, he hates God for making Blacks" Indeed, most conservatives weren't that racist in 2008 but the rise of American White Nationalism from a truly tiny insane fringe to the nearly "respectable" status it enjoys today began in 2008. It wasn't Obama's ideology, as most conservatives loudly and self-righeously love to proclam, because most of them were more followers of Obama's ideology than Obama was. The right we see today is far more right than they were in 2008 and this is because they moved in that direction to escape Obama's trying to join them.

Why do they hate Obama and other blacks so much? I dunno but I think it's based on the chronic Loserism that is the basis of all racism "Yeh, you may be low, but at least you're not black" And then we have a black who's more successful at what they're supposed to have been doing all this time than they ever even thought of being. That must be maddenting

 

That was 100% Bush jr's doing. Further Bush jr did not leave Obama any basis on which to renegotiate the Bush jr reduction in forces agreement. Blaming Obama is disingenuous.

Libya has not started up another nuke program.

Facts prove that Obamacare has been successful in covering millions of Americans who could not afford coverage.

Nothing the BLOTUS has done has changed prior to the recent Tax Scam bill that he just signed had any impact at all on the Obama economy that he inherited.

Blaming Obama for Bush jr's wars is disingenuous.

They hate him because he's black and a Democrat. That's it. It is that simple. Democrats can do no right in their minds. And the racism in them just came out from hiding and florished. There was/is so much racism in the dislike of Obama and his family it is palpable and sickening, deeply sickening.

 

He represents everything my enemies stand for. It's delicious what President Trump is doing to Obama's legacy. Absolutely delicious.

I grew tired of him lecturing the American people on what our values should be,

I believe he was in a unique position to take a robust leadership role with respect to the problems plaguing the black community, something he never did. Instead, he sent an army of FBI agents to Ferguson when one of Ferguson's officers was involved in a justifiable shooting.

After campaigning that the Iraq war was wrong from the beginning, he waged two wars of choice against middle eastern countries that were no threat to us, destabilizing them and turning them into lawless, war-torn, jihadist hellholes - Libya and Syria.

Under his watch, important federal agencies became politically weaponized, most notably the IRS, the DOJ, and the FBI. And no, that doesn't happen by accident.

He appointed Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Her character makes her uniquely unqualified for public service or to be placed into a position of high responsibility, but he did it anyway. And I don't see how it is possible that he didn't know about her private server. And, under his watch, Hillary was blending her position as SofS with her taking of millions and millions of dollars into her Foundation. I find it hard to believe he wasn't aware of this too.

And after Hillary, he appointed that spineless boob, John Kerry.

Micromanaging wars and restrictive rules of engagement.

Our withdrawal from Afghanistan was dictated by imposing a date rather than by conditions on the ground. Afghanistan is likely going to go the way of Iraq thanks to our precipitous withdrawal under his watch.

He was crucified if he showed any interest in or favor towards the black community and racial issues. White America blocked him from helping the black community. Totally. He tried but you all stopped him by claiming he shouldn't show favoritism and that he needed to be everyone's president.. Then you blame him for not doing anything. Incredible!

 

No birth certificate.

No college transcripts. Nor anyone from his alleged time at University, who remembered him.

He held a Social Security Number from Connecticut, a state he had never lived in. ??

Unclear family history.

A mind numbing speech style that suggests nice platitudes, but actually says nothing.

Could go on forever about the communists in his administration.


All in all O's presidency was certainly a teachable moment.

What is it you hate about Obama?

I hate what he brought out in the most angry and fearful parts of my country. It probably needed to happen but is embarrassing and disgusting....this thread included.

 

His feeble attempts to do anything were usually directed at the police or in sympathy towards the victimhood of black people.

He never addressed the problems that the black community was imposing on itself. This is what I am disappointed in him about. No white leader can address these problems because he or she will be instantly labelled as a racist. But Obama could. He just didn't. I would have liked him to talk directly to the black community about crime, violence, gangs, drugs, fatherlessness, education, etc. I would have liked him to tell black people to stop feeling like victims, stay in school, obey the law, make positive life choices, etc. But unless a black person was shot by a police officer, it was like they didn't exist to Obama.

I have never seen such animosity towards a previous president continue well into the 2nd year of a new presidency such as we have now. This country is so divided now, that I do not see this ending well.

I do not hate obama as a person. I do believe his ideology is wrong for society. That would be the liberal progressive (post modern neo marxist) philosophy. There are too many bad things this philosophy will lead to and already has led to.

 

The reason they keep bringing up Obama and Hillary is that there is truly no defense for Trump. They have to deflect and pretent Obama was worse and Hillary would have been worse. That's all they've got, LOL.

 

Once we get rid of Trump and elect a president who can unite the country.

I may not agree in parts here and there, but that's what rational, legitimate criticism of Obama looks like. He was far from being a perfect President, but quite often Republicans are wrong to demonize him to the extreme like they often do.
