He did bring them together, several times now, the Democrats refuse to go along and wanted a shutdown.
We can’t stop illegal immigrants from entering the US. A 30 foot wall is easily defeated with an aluminum extension ladder.
You dont know what you are talking about The wall prototypes have been tested by experts and found to be very effective https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tactical-teams-test-president-trumps-border-wall-prototypes-mexico/
No he didnt Schumer agreed to authorize the money which is only a promise not actual approbation And it does not cover the rest of the problem which is chain immigration That must stop
It's OK with me, it's not our fault they have no ties with their own country. Their parents caused the problem and they can help their kids deal with it. If the left wants to use DACA as a way to open the border or just to fight against the right then maybe it should just be taken off the table. Most of us don't mind giving amnesty to the "dreamers" but we want a secure border to prevent other "dreamers" from coming in the future. If the left will not secure the border then they should not get any movement on DACA.
That and an end to chain immigration must happen in exchange for amnesty Otherwise we will just have new DACAs in the future
This poll was just about dealing with the "dreamers" and as I said most people support a kind of amnesty for the "dreamers". They were not asked about anything to prevent any future amnesty. Most Americans know that this needs to be dealt with for the future but they were not asked about the "wall", chain migration or the lottery system. Give them amnesty but do something to prevent this from happening in the future.
Yes, that's what I said. End chain migration, the lottery system and build the "wall". While we are at it there should be a way to take government shutdown out of the hands of the congress. Maybe a constitutional amendment stating that if a budget agreement is not reached then the last budget remains in effect until an agreement is reached. Nobody should have the power to shutdown the government for any reason, this is not why we put them into office.
All polls are designed to bring about a certain result. If they want to protect the dreamers then there should be measures included to prevent any future dreamers from coming here.
Exactly If liberals had kept their promise to fix immigration in 1986 the dreamers here now would be in their own country instead
And then Democrats in turn should've been novel enough to say 'Here's an Amendment that might make some of our more Liberal party members gawk, but should be enough red meat for even the reddest of districts' and WALLA, a true bipartisan bill.
