This is really pretty scary stuff. We are close to the FBI being the KGB and America being Russia.

"Two top FBI officials under fire for exchanging anti-Trump text messages during the 2016 election spoke of a “secret society” the day after President Trump's victory, according to two lawmakers with knowledge of the messages."

"Peter Strzok -- a top counterintelligence official involved in both the Hillary Clinton email probe and FBI Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe -- exchanged more than 50,000 messages with senior FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom he was romantically involved.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., and Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, said Monday that among the messages the pair exchanged are references to a “secret society” within the Department of Justice and the FBI.

“We learned today about information that in the immediate aftermath of [Trump’s] election, that there may have been a secret society of folks within the Department of Justice and the FBI -- to include Page and Strzok -- that would be working against him,” Ratcliffe said Monday on Fox News' “The Story with Martha MacCallum.”

In ‘Jaw-Dropping’ Text, Peter Strzok Expressed ‘Concern’ About Joining Mueller Team

The FBI’s top agent on the Trump-Russia investigation sent a text message last year that one top Republican senator says suggests he saw no evidence of Trump campaign collusion.

Strzok wrote: “You and I both know the odds are nothing. If I thought it was likely, I’d be there no question. I hesitate in part because of my gut sense and concern that there’s no big there there.”

Hmmm...a sort of "secret society' within the FBI and DOJ? One could almost term it a "Deep State", a government within a government
engaged in seditious conduct seeking to nullify the results of the 2016 presidential election.
    Very interesting.

These are all the texts in the lead up to the Mueller investigation.

We know why they were accidentally "lost."

Lucky for them they are Democrats and won't be held to any standard. The collective will cover, excuse and even bribe people into Silence with tax money to protect them.

Of course this is all a joke to the left. They hear the word "conspiracy" and that is enough for them to LOL the idea. If NBC does not report it, it must be false.

Within Corporate America, if high ranking managers were caught conspiring against conpany mission as these two were, they’d be fired immediately and shown the door.

But we’re talking about a DOJ/FBI that was heavily politicized and corrupted during the Obama Administration. It’s going to take real will and hard work to clean out these agencies and restore trust/integrity that has clearly been lost.

The right-wing neo-con,(nazi's) seem to not see a correlation between the group from the 1930's and the tRUMP crowd.
    oligarchy
a government in which a small group exercises control especially for corrupt and selfish purposes
    • a military oligarchy was established in the country
; also : a group exercising such control
    • An oligarchy ruled the nation.

Problem number 1): President Donald Trump often dismisses news stories or media outlets that he doesn’t like as “fake news.” How often? A database of his public remarks contains 320 references last year to “fake news.”

Usually, it’s a general complaint about news coverage — such as his Christmas Eve tweet: “The Fake News refuses to talk about how Big and how Strong our BASE is.”

But there are times, too, when he has labeled accurate news reporting as “fake news” or spread false information himself, while at the same time accusing the media of being “fake” or “dishonest.”
Problem number 2): Trump's tendency to criticize the FBI, the nation's premier law enforcement agency, and extol the local police officers who have become central to his law-and-order agenda. Police departments, Trump said while at Quantico, "are totally underappreciated, except by me."

“All the political journals of the United States are, indeed, arrayed on the side of the administration or against it; but they attack and defend it in a thousand different ways,” Alexis de Tocqueville 1835

The idea of this pure media is really a mid 20th century anomomly. The trusted news anchor who comes into your home every night around dinner time is historically soeaking a flash in the pan and in retrospect was total ****ing bullshit even then.

If our forefathers had envisioned the danger of television media and how stage craft and presentation can be used to bypass people's bullshit sensors it would have scared the **** out if them.

Ahh, the old right wing neo-con Nazi deflect.....

I’ve never met a Nazi. From the best I can tell, to the very fringe extent they exist, they live at home with their mothers and pound on their keyboards from the dank corners of their respective basements.

I wonder about any mindset that give these minor league and low number fools any credibility.

    Not me

I dont think the quote was literal

They are a pair of rogue agents who were part of an unofficial cabal that went to the highest levels of the FBI and justice department

But it was never an actual secret society

2 to 1 is actually not a lot of confidence, given all that wiggle room about the definition of "the secret society" and the FBI's ability to circle the wagon and cover up...

2 days ago, before these new texts were published the libs would be betting 100 to 1.

Even a remote chance of the existence of a secret society inside the FBI would warrant a background check, a lie detector and a thorough investigation of every FBI officer. If you weren't so blinded by your hatred of Trump, you'd probably agree.

PS and the possibility of such secret society doesn't appear remote or hypothetical any more, given these new revelations.

These are neo-fascist sources with no proof.

All agents are carefully vetted, go through background checks, are annually rated, etc.

    This is a nothing burger.

Lol good point.... but even 33% chance of a secret society existing inside the FBI which is what he probably meant, would be absolutely horrifying for anyone not suffering from TDS.

A 5% chance of such a society is too much, but the ZH outlet is an Alt Right pro-Russian outlet. Of course it would make such a claim.

    From the OP:

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., and Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, said Monday that among the messages the pair exchanged are references to a “secret society” within the Department of Justice and the FBI.
