The NFL justifies rejecting an ad by a vet's group because it might be a political statement. That's insane because the anthem doesn't represent a political party. And if the ad does represent a political party, as per the NFL, then kneeling during the anthem would, too, and that should be banned, but it's not.

The NFL is showing its true colors.

BTW, in the eyes of the NFL, if an ad to stand for the anthem represents a political statement, then the only political party it could possibly support is the republican party, and that leaves the democrats as the party who supports disrespecting the anthem.

I'll bet there were discussions among the NFL leaders to discontinue playing the anthem at any game at any time.

An ad asking people to kneel would likely be banned also

    SHOCKER...

Why would the NFL want to promote respecting America's first responders? They are globalist that want this country tore down and fundamentally replaced with a Global socialist police state run by an oligarchy out of Europe.

If the ad is considered political then so should the activity the ad is addressing and that’s not banned.

Stupid statement considering the NFL have been showcasing men and women in uniform participating in flag ceremonies and one of them just sang the National Anthem over the weekend.

First they politicized every executive branch of the federal government. (including the DOJ, IRS and it's starting to look like the FBI)

Then they went after professional sports and politicized the NFL.

    Then they went after ....

There's a difference between an advertisement and the players exercising their right of expression.

The military pays for those ads, they don't get them for free. That means you paid for them. I'm proud to pay for ads that promote respect for our nation's Heroes.

The ad is also free expression although I’m sure it’s hardly free $$$. The NFL is telling a TV station what they can and can’t show.

Let's see...why do I dislike the corporate quislings in the NFL so much?

    Oh, now I remember.

I fully understand the NFL blackouts of local markets, if a team couldn’t sell out then everyone in that team’s market couldn’t see the game. It’s sll about the dollars and the fans be damned.

Why do you ask such an inappropriate question? How did the free market enter the issue? Geezzzus!

Advertisements are a right of free expression.

Or are they not because money is being exchanged for services?

But then the NFL is exchanging money with the players for their athletic service.

Oh my, we've woven ourselves a complicated little web with all of these split hairs.

I think you know quite well that this isn't about any of that.

The NFL just choose their feral anti-American thugs over decency.

I mean they gave a $100 million payoff to what is essentially BLM.

    You watching the Super Bowl?

    I wont be, ever again.

Stopped three years ago haven't seen a game since.

Started watching soccer and F1 racing, so much better.

I did hear that part of that $100 million payoff deal to BLM included provisions to have that racist bigot Kaepernick re-hired on some team.

Guess he'll be back on the bench next season aye?

It's the NFL's right to be run by two faced oligarchs just as it's my right to dislike the corporate welfare they get as they pander to a
    racist radical political movement.
