Not believing in Karma is like not believing in gravity. The cosmic law of reciprocity works, whether you believe it or not

King's friend called it Karma, not King. But this goes with my sentiments that writers, say all entertainment folks which includes sports along with retailers should keep their mouth shut when it comes to politics. Every time one opens his mouth, grief and boycotts seem to follow. By now all those folks should be aware what business they are in. Entertainment or selling things and offering services. Why peeve off a large segment of the population whichever side one takes on politics? Bad for business usually.

Of course King and everyone else has the right to spout off and take sides in partisan political battles. Just be aware that a backlash could occur and go from there.

"They" crashed the train? Were the Republicans driving it?

I did. If you want to give him a pass, then Trump also gets a pass on the shooting people on 5th Avenue remark, as he did preface it with “they say”.

I thought he was a great writer... when I was 14. Going back and trying to read some of it as an adult a decade ago revealed how truly mediocre he is. The Shining was an incredible -Kubrick- movie.

To the topic, is anyone surprised at this?

Yes. Obviously King wanted someone to back his message. Did you not get that?

Gee I thought it was a truck that crossed the tracks and the train hit it. Happens more frequently than you know. The Republicans aren't slandering an American institution they're scraping the scum off the top.

Most of us got rid of our first imaginary friends when we met our first real friend (about 3 or 4 yrs old). King still has his.

No, just letting Stephen King speak for Stephen King.

If he didn't want to send that message, why post it?

And then why apologize when appropriately ripped for it?

Try reading it again for the first time. Did he disagree with it? Did he go after his friend for saying it or did he repeat it on his own twitter as a sign of support.

    Try to keep up here.

Thought you didn't believe in karma. Gardner beat Obama backed Strickland as a result of Obama's failures and lies and I think is pretty safe when he faces his next go around. We're not as blue as you think we are.

King posted it and never disagreed with it. Your defense of this is pathetic.

Karma is the left, working with Russian sources, turning out a fake dossier bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton which was used by people within the FBI to spy on the president and attempt to nullify the 2016 election, all of which is now biting them in the butt.

That's karma! A determined act of ill will and deceit that's come back on the perpetrators.
Stupid people that imagine a train accident is karmic justice set themselves up for possible future retribution themselves.

Evil Republicans set themselves up for disaster and bad karma.
And no song-and-dance from Trump Cultists can change that.

Don't all progressives have a friend 'Russ' when they want their message out but not the fallout? I think they call it plausible deniability.

Not defending anything, just citing facts and an opinion. Quite a lot of people get way too hyper, I think.

"Disaster and bad karma"....like losing the sure thing presidential election in 2016?

I'd be careful pretending you know who is in store for cosmic justice. Those who blabber don't know. Those who know don't blabber.

again, stephen king didnt say it. yet you made that false claim.

if you were honest, you would stated that king should not have sent such a message, it was your choice to lie about it, and now making excuses for it.
