But this goes with my sentiments that writers, say all entertainment folks which includes sports along with retailers should keep their mouth shut when it comes to politics. Every time one opens his mouth, grief and boycotts seem to follow. By now all those folks should be aware what business they are in. Entertainment or selling things and offering services. Why peeve off a large segment of the population whichever side one takes on politics? Bad for business usually.

Of course King and everyone else has the right to spout off and take sides in partisan political battles. Just be aware that a backlash could occur and go from there.

I thought he was a great writer... when I was 14. Going back and trying to read some of it as an adult a decade ago revealed how truly mediocre he is. The Shining was an incredible -Kubrick- movie.
