no, it means it's peanuts compared to the huge tax cuts the corps got

Dems were all for middle class tax cuts, just much bigger ones, which obviously you and other republican are against

You should take your own advice. We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem.

so you did not deserve the raise, just got it cause of the tax cut?
    I get a 3-5% raise every year

remember corps get this tax cut every year, lets see if you keep getting that raise every year going forward, be great if you did, but corps do not work like that, this year the corp tax cut is a bonus to them, next year it, the norm

dems would of rather gave you that extra money in a middle class tax cut that you would get EVERY year, now you have to depend on your corp trickling down instead

If the Republicans are in power when the tax cuts are up for extension, the Republicans will definitely extend them or make them permanent. That's a fact.

The question you have to ask yourself is if the Democrats are in power when the tax cuts are about to expire, what will they do?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

so you were against the bigger Permamant tax cuts the dems wanted for the middle class cause you thought it was bad for jobs and the economy?

guess what, when the people have more to spend, corps create jobs to get that money, when you give it to the corps they don't have to create any jobs as they already have the money

The dems didn't want any tax cuts to begin with. Try and keep up.

lies, dems wanted bigger and permanent tax cuts for the middle class, what they did not want was the huge corp tax cuts or the repeal of the estate tax

I can't see Democrats touting lower taxes for anybody. They had total control of the Government and still did not tout lower taxes. Obama increased taxes. If they wanted lower taxes for the middle class, while passing Obama care, they clearly had the power to lower taxes on the favored group. But they did not.

Well damn. Let's roll back minimum wage from this ridiculous $15/hr Progressives are pushing. That $3,200 would be about 10% of an annual full time income at $15/hr.

And here I thought the left was all about living wages.

Wrong again, that was their propaganda after the republicans introduced tax cuts. Dems didn't want tax cuts at all and just think if Bernie got in who wanted to raise taxes on everyone.

BS. Obama had 8 years with a more than willing Republican congress to get that accomplished. Funny, I can't find him mentioning this. :roflol:

Actually, the cuts to deductions apply to 2017 taxes. The lower tax RATES don't start until next year, but all of the other changes to itemized deductions apply this year.

I'm still trying to understand what you mean. I didn't mean to come across as insulting. You are projecting your 2018 taxes based on your current income and the new tax tables/rates? If you live in a state, county, city with draconian rates then yes, you could pay more especially if you have a large mortgage payment. But to pay materially more, you'd have to be upper middle class. Almost affluent.

Wrong. The new tax structure started this month and the deductions don't apply to last year.

45% of Americans still don't pay any federal income taxes so they aren't affected by the tax cuts.

No .... not FOX. I see what actually happens. Democrats got the health car law that was hated by Americans passed. They could have handed tax cuts out. But they hate tax cuts. Like they see tax cuts as a dreaded disease.

I do not see the rich as a problem. As a group, they are stiffed far more than the rest of us are. I see that is very unfair and all it does is make people think the rich don't do enough. When they virtually support the entire government, something tells me they do far more than their share.

many thought sense Trump signed the law in 2017 it would apply to 2017, Trump made it sound that way, but your right, it only applies to 2018 taxes

everyone knows that the dems supported bigger tax cuts for the middle class, they tried to redo the bush tax cuts, but sadly conservatives had too much control in Congress to get 60 votes

republican could try right now to pass a bill just for permanent tax cuts for the middle class, dems would all vote for it... they wont though, cause republican would not support it
