The GOP steadfastly ignores unmistakeable warning signs of a pending disaster. A major tremor came early in Trump’s presidency with the global Woman’s March. This was a breathtaking historical event that heralded the rise of women’s power in politics. I predict this trend will strengthen and accelerate.

An ongoing tsunami is the rapidly shifting demographics away from white men to women and minority voters. This has created a growing percentage Independent voters moving decidedly toward Democrats. Young voters (18-35) overwhelming register either Democrat or Independent. This group has shown up in large numbers for recent special elections. In every special election held in 2017, Republicans gave up their seats to Democratic challengers - sometimes by double-digit margins. Increased turnout by the aforementioned groups swung the elections away from the GOP. I see no reason for this trend to moderate.

The low approval of president Trump has been a major factor in driving this trend. His base of support holds steadfastly at 32-37% of voters. Trump has neither desire or plan to enlarge his base to include the remaining 65% of Americans. Meanwhile, the clouds of the Mueller investigation hang over the administration like a gathering storm. Trump’s continued focus on collusion with Russians is like a rabbit sitting comfortably on a railroad track ignoring the train emerging from the fog. Mueller has long since moved from the Russians (four arrests to date) to money laundering, illegal foreign business dealings, profiteering from the office, and obstruction of justice.

Democrats have seen a significant increase in voters, over one thousand at last count, planning to run for office against GOP incumbents. These facts are hard to ignore and 36 GOP representatives have seen the data and projections on the coming mid-terms and retired from office. There is speculation by voters and GOP moderates who will replace these retirees. If the GOP fills these slots with alt-right or ultra conservatives as projected, losses will mount in mid-terms.

Let’s see... jobs increased every single month for years. Not too bad. The stock market almost tripled after he took office, not too bad. He saved the auto industry, not too bad. And millions of people are able to see a doctor not too bad.

Let me give the analogy again. This person buys a restaurant that was failing, no one was coming to eat there anymore. He made some expensive choices like hiring the best chef, improving the decor etc.
Little by little people started dining there and soon it was very successful and more and more people were coming so this person sold the restaurant to another person. And people continue coming and he kept the same chef and yet he gave the man no credit who he bought the restaurant from.

You bet they are, no wonder Terry McAuliffe gave them an amnesty in VA right before the 2016 election.

    Moreover,

all fascist violent ANTIFA are democrats
all commies, all socialists are democrats
all Islamic terrorists and their sympathizers are democrats
    all La Raza are democrats
    all anarchists are democrats
    all drug addicts are democrats
    all anti-American scum are democrats
all Nation of Islam are democrats
    ...

In no particular order...You don't think these categories vote republicans, do you?

Here is a better analogy. A person buys a restaurant that was failing, and the new owner denigrates half the people that come into the restaurant and drives them out. He lets the other half of the people who come in, stay, serves them bad food, and convinces them the food is bad because of the "bad" people outside the restaurant. Nobody eats, everyone is unhappy, there are fights and hatred. But the owner is happy because he didn't want the restaurant to succeed in the first place, he wanted to "fundamentally transform" it from a restaurant to a bar of drunks.

Then the restaurant is condemned and given new ownership. The new owner opens the place to everyone, serves better food, and the future looks good for the restaurant. But the drunks are jealous because they wanted a bar and they are disgruntled and envious and hate people who are happy and successful, so they refuse to admit life is better with the new owner. The drunks try to burn down the restaurant, but they get caught and it looks like they will be thrown in jail.

Actually, the GOP evidences acute anxiety over its autumnal rendezvous with dysentery.

Desperate Republicans have dramatically outspent their Democratic rivals 17-to-1 in the first congressional race of 2018. Democrats, by contrast, view a victory in the district as a lower priority, given the large number of more vulnerable Republican incumbents they plan to target this fall in their quest to win the House.

It is as if the Republican Waffen-SS, Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, and the Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda are all rallying to Custer’s Last Stand in Little Bighorn, Pennsylvania.
Obviously, Trump & Co. are desperate to hang onto this one seat, but the monumental effort to do so begs the question, “How concentrated will your universal-mobilization blitzkrieg be when you have to go charging off in all directions in the Fall?

November, 2018 will mark a yooj advance in democracy as women (the majority of The People) react to how they've been treated by the power elite.

Egoist. That money was stolen from your kids and grandchildren. Running up the deficit by a trillion dollars due to tax cuts eventually have to be paid back.

It’s like giving a child a five dollar raise in her allowance and telling her she has to buy your own clothes. Remember how trump said he wouldn’t touch Medicare?

Remember, this tax cut was the work of the GOP more than stupid, golfing Trump. He just signs what the GOP is able to put in front of him. He is their rubber stamp.

The consequences of the loathsome Trump for the GOP are unavoidable, and the Republican scheme to run nationally against Nancy Pelosi (with or without the assistance of their Russian accomplices) as their Trump continues his hysterical antics is futile. TV entertainer Trump's stars aligned to put him in the White House, but it was the allure the crude drama queen had for the ratings-obsessed media that won him, to the consternation of his rivals for the nomination, inordinate free coverage and the Party's nomination. Lusterless Ms Pelosi just doesn't offer that level of zany entertainment value, and she is not about to steal the spotlight from a spectacle that incessantly brays, "Hey, look at ME!"

As a political survival mechanism, cultivating a base of older, less educated, White males appears to be an ineluctable loser.

Alienating better-educated younger Americans, the ethnically and racially diverse, and women at a time they are politically motivated and energized constitutes demographic hara-kiri.

    The Senate has a 34 - 16 GOP advantage.

Four of the GOP senators will not for impeachment.

    End of the story.
