"my favorite teacher at Dalton high school just blockaded his door and proceeded to shoot,"

So, I ask those who favor arming teachers or bringing in armed guards, who watches the watchmen? Your chosen ones have issues too and can snap like all the rest.

The further you are from guns the less they can harm you. The inverse square law.

    Arm the students.

And the janitors. Don't forget to arm the janitors.

And the cafeteria staff. That would help.

I wouldn't doubt he took one for the team to try to show teachers shouldn't be armed.

Why does the reason matter? It's still another gun owner with bad judgement.

Yep he used bad judgement and will pay the price. Doesn't mean other teacher's can't carry responsibly, they've been doing it in eight states already.

Probably the teacher lost his temper.

I don't believe in punishing people until they commit a moral crime. If I ran things this wouldn't be that serious, but I don't run things.

I can just as easily argue that "just because some teachers can carry responsibly doesn't mean that, for unknown reasons, some of them shouldn't"
