Huge win, but not over yet. The injunctions filed by courts the DNC has on it's payroll filed are still in place but now they have to consider this ruling and probably end up abiding by it since its based purely on Constitutional law whereas the leftist injunction is based on feefees. Of course this was always going to happen and the DNC knew it. That's why they didn't accept Trump's DACA deal. They want this fight to take place in November because illegal invaders, and the triggered butthurt they invoke, are the DNC's only hope to win seats. But I think it will backfire with non-radicals for two reasons: 1. It reinforces the fact that the DNC intentionally refused a deal in order to use human beings as political fodder. 2. It reminds the country how comfortable the left is in exploiting and corrupting the courts. (/cough FISA warrants)
Any idiot that calls himself a judge should know that any President can end any open-ended EO written by a previous President at anytime for any reason or for no reason. If a President had the balls he would tell the judge to go ____ himself.
I actually think I agree with you but you normally side with the progs. What and I missing? Have I misjudged you? A side note is that I think Bo Peep's administration made this BS rule up, was not an EO? That's what the progressive trash has pushed out there for us to consume anyway. I was under the impression these federal judges could throw a monkey wrench into a ............well, I won't go into that, might be a forum infraction. But legislating from the bench has been a leftist reality for so, oh so long. What's the truth here?
What deal did the dems refuse? One that came up for vote was rejected by the republicans...not the dems
Oh no you didn't. Trump was clear. The wall, end of chain migration and the lottery. Dems didn't want to deal. Now they get to "go fish".
` Here is what the judge actually said; ` ` Source - https://www.politico.com/story/2018/03/05/dreamers-daca-maryland-judge-trump-438520 `
We already had a link. The bottom line? Shifty Schumer better get busy. The deportation buses are ready to roll unless there is a deal. DACA is expired. Start the Wall tonight!
Its all very confusing thanks to buttinsky activist judges But maybe this force the SC to act sooner Or maybe it just means trump can ignore the other court order and start deporting DACAs
Many quisling GOP lawmakers will push for a bad compromise But they have always been beaten in the past when they tried for amnesty
A few weeks ago when republicans voted against a deal that would have helped dreamers and invested in border security? Again, there’s nothing to vote on currently, do you understand how laws are passed?
Basically the judge is calling the president and Congress a bunch of useless idiots that can't get anything done and it's not his job to do their job. You can clearly read that in his tone of that statement. I love how Trumpers declare that a win lol.
You think it's going to backfire? How could it not? The only reason why it wouldn't backfire is if the GOP doesn't spend money on it. Schumer 100% obstructed the deal all by himself. I mean the LULAC President was so excited to get 1.8 million pathways to citizenship he wrote a letter to the President congratulating him on the compromise and efforts but very quickly retracted it when he got his chain yanked. All the GOP has to do us spend money on ads telling the truth. Gogo Latino conservatives running for office in California
How bizarre can you get. Since when does a judge think we as citizens care about what he likes. Next up we will have federal judges telling us their feelings in their opinions. FFS. That comment was political. Him trying to cover his ass with the far left. Wth for. He's a judge. Just do your job. Blame the Constitution.
No matter his personal opinion he went with the law.. Unlike the former two judges who went with emotion.. The Judge did his job.
Yes. "Progressives" seem to think what what they like is "legal" and what they don't like is "illegal". A judge has ruled that the White House had the right to end DACA. Judge Roger W. Titus ruled Monday President Trump acted within his authority in his plan to rescind an executive order former President Barack Obama announced in 2012. Trump ended the order over a period of six months until Congress could legislatively solve the problem. “This decision took control of a pell-mell situation and provided Congress — the branch of government charged with determining immigration policy — an opportunity to remedy it. Given the reasonable belief that DACA was unlawful, the decision to wind down DACA in an orderly manner was rational,” Titus wrote. The entire DACA question is clear-cut. It’s a matter of who holds the authority to do what between the federal and state governments or between the executive and legislative branches. DACA was an executive action summoned up by a president with no input from Congress. The idea that a subsequent president doesn’t have the authority to modify or even end that executive action is insane. And yet you can still find a judge willing to entertain the notion if you look in the right places.
Yea I'm excited when real community leaders emerge and buck the chains of racist leftist oppression. Its almost like these people don't want to be viewed as broken pawns in the left's game of "lets hide our extremist failures behind a wall of human shields".
How nice that a judge can also be a political commentator. But there are only 9 words in that statement that actually matter. "it is not his job to set immigration policy" And by "his" he is referring to the office of the President. Because SCOTUS has long since affirmed and upheld that the powers of immigration law and subsequent enforcement for the entire nation belong to Congress and Congress alone. States and Presidents can have their opinions, but Congress is the end all to be all. Now if we could only get the courts to move a little faster and take up the case of this sanctuary city/state treason we can finally start putting some criminals in jail (referring to the politicians as well as the invaders).
