Of course. While a NRA member I received an urgent call begging me for money. They said that Obama was "confiscating guns from veterans". What? She told me that Obama was taking the guns only because they were veterans. Hmmmmm, something didn't smell right. A little digging and I discovered that certain veterans, after having been deemed incompetent by a court of law, had been asked to surrender their firearms.

Not quite the "confiscation" the NRA was spouting, but it fit well with their narrative of the previous eight years that "Obama is going to take your guns".

It's interesting to note that the idea of removing access to guns from individuals deemed unfit by a court is now becoming an accepted policy on both the left and the right.

Interestingly in a reversal of left right propaganda across the pond, the right has picked up on the whole Russia thing.

This truly laughable BS from Yale reminds me of a Stanford Study done some years ago covering the same topic.

Evidence of this confirmation biased brainwashing of young people, with the requisite "we're liberal, we're superior" message, simply points to the failure of education, and the reason young people are so ill prepared for life.

What's interesting is that these studies are actually confirming abject fear on the part of the people doing the studies, and on the part of the people they are fed to.

Why else would these total wastes of public money be engaged in over and over?

Look beyond the toxic prejudice they reveal, these things remove any doubt about the Culture War liberal/socialist progressives are engaged in.

I read that report a few years ago. MRI scans show there are actual, physical differences in the brain structures of conservatives and liberals. It seems that liberals have a larger anterior cingulate cortex while conservatives have larger amygdalas. The functional difference is that liberals should have a greater ability to “cope with conflicting information” while conservatives would have a “greater ability to recognize a threat.” The reports I read did not say there was any indication that liberals had any enhanced ability to arrive at correct conclusions while coping with conflicting information although my observations over many decades would indicate a negative response to that question. However, I can definitely say that I picked Obama as a threat when he came on the scene.

Liberals are a threat and we see it.

 

On the other hand, there is something to be said about being over educated and thinking that there are hundreds of genders.

This is nothing new. Fear mongering has always been a tactic used by politicians and lobbyists to motivate and manipulate right wingers....hence...the clinging to guns and bibles meme. The GOP has this type of manipulation down to a science. Notice how there is always a boogeyman waiting in the wings and how most of their posts are based upon protecting themselves from some entity or policy that's out to get them.

Now now, to be fair, this is how it plays out according to studies I've read in the past.

Conservatives tend to feel their security is threatened. And contrary to popular beliefs, liberals tend to feel their liberty is threatened - mainly by conservatives! But the point is, everyone has deeply-rooted drivers, some of which seem to be inherited.
