Atheist Richard Dawkins warns against celebrating the alleged demise of Christianity in Europe

Is he right that some religions are less bad then others? Is Christianity on the way out in Europe? Will it eventually become Muslim?

 

Europeans were foolish to embrace a Middle Eastern, passive, welcoming faith like Christianity. It is foreign to their nature and eventually crippled them, making them open their arms to border-less globalism, turn the other cheek, forgiving, - lambs to the slaughter.

 

Too bad Jesus isn't actually real or he could, today, speak up to help stem the tide of the “dying” Christian faith. That would keep more people (allegedly) out of "hell" (torture for simply thinking differently than a 2000 year-old dead guy), so that would be good for the world. But alas, Jesus is clearly not real (or not caring....either way not worthy of your worship.)

 

Jesus was a real person.

 

Well I am going to ignore the fact Dawkins finds Christianity so deplorable and give him a lot of thanks for speaking out on the dangers of Islam. Who else is so boldly doing so in politics or celebrity status?, almost none. Europe's abandonment of the Christian faith is their greatest sin, in my opinion, but their allowing Islam to do as they please in their own communities and laws, and then threaten and hate all the rest of Europe along with violence, that alone should be an indictment on those Western European governments of being cowardly or thoughtless.
And yes some religions are less bad than others. Secular humanism is about the worst though, imo.

The way you define Christianity in your cartoon is total fabrication and deceit. It bears nothing to the truth and goodness of what Christianity has been for mankind. Then for the cartoon to suggest it is more or less on the same plain as Islam is even more insidious propaganda.

Too bad he can't, today, make appearances (he's all-powerful, no?) to help reverse the tide of millions of people leaving his religion. That would allegedly keep more people out of "hell"! I'd do that, if I was him (and he's actually real)....but then again I'm a better and more caring person than Jesus is, so Jesus won't do that.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!! Sure, Jesus and the Tooth Fairy are not real, but SANTA IS! How do you think I get presents from him each year!? What more proof do you need!? Besides, he's far more ethical than Jesus is because he didn't create a "hell" for non-believers, like God/Jesus allegedly did - he just doesn't give them presents. Santa is far more ethical than Jesus is.

 

Christianity used to be implimented authoritatively with threat of violence. Like Islam. But Christianity reformed. In doing so, it stopped being a useful tool for social and political control. Now, Christianity is on its way out as an establishment tool of authoritarianism, and is becoming a tool for individual enlightenment. Both Catholic and Protestant churches across the globe are losing their members, who are taking a more individual approach to worship with small group home Bible studies and individual reinterpretations of scripture. As the authoritarian establishment pushes Atheism as an ideological front for worshipping The State and Islam as the front for Obedience to The State, Christianity is forming as an ideological block to both, emerging as an ideological promotion of the value of the individual and emphasis of devinely inspired Free Will. This makes Christianity a threat to the authoritative collectivism that the controlling elite have been trying to reinstate on a global level ever since The Renaisance dethroned Feudalism. It shouldn't be any surprise that Christianity is now public enemy #1 in the eyes of the establishment.

Look, I really have no problem with anyone believing in whatever fantasy god or gods they want. What I get sick and tired of is Fox News trying to make this an issue when it is not. The hypocrisy of Fox News being a champion of Christian values all the while praising the Groper in Chief is sickening.

 

If YOU had Jesus' alleged magic super-powers, would YOU have come down, vanity, and told the world that "do not suffer a witch to live" was dead wrong, and to change the Bible? I would have, because I'm more ethical/caring than Jesus....but what about you?
