Why could this be more damaging than the Mueller investigation? Because, for six months the Republicans have been attacking the Steele Dossier, only to find out that Mueller has evidence Michael Cohen lied in his testimony about being there with Russians.This gives major credibility value to the Dossier, when it proves Cohen was lying to authorities. Seeing that Michael Cohen is Trump's personal butt boy, who probably isn't even a lawyer anyway, has been caught lying about that trip to Prague with SC. This is big time biggie news right here folks. This could easily, and most likely lead to Trump and a conspiracy to collude with the Russians via the campaign.

 

If you kept up with the news today, or did a quick google search, you'd know this wasn't only reported by MSNBC. This guy is cooked.

 

What are the odds that Trump cheated on his wife (again) while he was in Moscow?

 

They're all repeating off of the Peter Stone 'report'. And we ourselves have gotten confirmation that investigations are literally taking place in media editing rooms. . If Mueller has this evidence, or just obtained this evidence then Cohen should be named a target. We should be seeing swift and fast developments, I'm talking within a week of developments.

Of course, I remain skeptical that this is 'evidence' since its "sources close to the investigation".

 

If the "sources" were revealed, they'd no longer be willing to leak information out to the press.

 

Cohen has already been named a target. His court filing from Friday revealed that he is under criminal investigation. Phreet Bharara posited that the SDNY is acting like the clean team on Cohen, to sift through the documents and communications and remove those which are privileged, and then to share the non-protected information with Mueller.

 

Rachael Maddow's show is pretty near the top of the ratings each night.

Also, this report is being made by several news agencies at this point.

 

This report is quite important, if verified (obviously), because it further reinforces the validity of the Steele Dossier. Remember that Michael Cohen was one of the very first to publicly try and discredit the Steele Dossier and he did so by showing off his passport which proved, according to him, that he never went to Moscow during the time that he is alleged to have done so by the Steele Dossier.

And so this report would make Michael Cohen a liar (not shocking and not important) about a fundamental fact from the Steele Dossier that was, to date, unverified (shocking and important).

 

The person that you responded to has no intention of being taken seriously.

Anybody who is still "defending" Trump (in any context) is completely unworthy of being taken seriously.

And anybody still "defending" Trump is well aware that nobody takes them seriously.

In regards to these latest developments? Or the Daniels/Access Hollywood tape thing? We just don't know. But I will say this: If confirmed, I'd immediately file impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump. If this thing is confirmed, Trump is a manchurian 'candidate' and the Russians didn't just interfere, but launched a direct attack against US Democracy. That means war. Yes, I would declare an actual, full-out war against the Russian Federation if Trump is an Russian asset.

I have more of an understanding than you do, of how investigations work. In America, you are charged with crimes and they investigate on the basis of the crimes they charged. If Mueller obtained this information, Trump should be named a target. Since we can hardly doubt Cohen conspired without Trump's knowledge or desire.

Google's your friend. I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but I need to see it confirmed with actions. If confirmed, we could see even more Trump lawyers bail, we could see them wanting to approach Mueller for some sort of deal. Etc.

You live in a virtual world of denial. McClatchy from the DC Bureau is reporting this, which is backed up by the SC's office. The investigation is still ongoing with a ton of evidence still needing to be collected.

When are folks like you ever going to get it?

This was/is a massive criminal syndicate involving multiple countries with multiple foreign and domestic players. There is a reason why and how Trump was elected illegally. And all these pieces to this crime are coming together now. And how do we get to the center of this crime? We follow all the money, which gives us the leads, which gives us the evidence. Mueller is now breaking through this money pit of corruption involving dozens, if not hundreds of individuals. It was /is a gigantic mafia scheme headed up by the American and Russian mob, and they used every means necessary to hijack this election. And unfortunately, they did just that.
