Dude was probably skipping school, bored, and looking for a scene to make so he stopped for directions and actually got them so he had to make up a story. He wants a protest and free soy latte from Starbucks, too. I mean, if people are stupid enough to think two real estate brokers are out and about in their hoodies and unprofessional crap clothes, why wouldn't they believe this guy was just an innocent freshman looking for directions to his high school?

 

I might get lost on a four-mile walk to school if I typically rode the bus, and I’ve had bad days when I’d forgotten my phone and missed a ride.

Sorry. I don’t understand what you’re trying to say with this question. I think most kids would come up with a Plan B. You don’t have any other choice in this case. Going around asking for help was his Plan B. Choosing no Plan B is like just laying down on the sidewalk and rocking back and forth helplessly.
