Just a few hours after Don Junior agrees to meet with the Russian cutouts to receive some dirt on Clinton, Candidate Trump makes the following announcement at a press conference:

"I am going to give a major speech, on probably Monday of next week, and we're gonna be discussing all the things that have taken place with the Clintons. I think you are going to find it very informative and very, very interesting. I wonder if the press will want to attend, who knows."

I don't think Donald Trump personally conspired with the love of his life, Vladimir Putin, to rig our election. But I do believe he was aware of it, and was kept in the loop about it.

    1. Don Junior receives a message the Russians want to help his father win the election, and that they have some dirt on Clinton they'd like to give him.

    2. Junior enthusiastically agrees to meet with the Russians to receive the dirt.

    3. The meeting is arranged for that Thursday in Trump Tower.

    4. The same day Junior agrees to the meeting, Candidate Trump announces to the world he is going to have some interesting things to say about Clinton the following Monday.

    5. The meeting takes place. For whatever reason (probably because Trump blabbed to the world like an idiot), the Russians do not provide the dirt.

    6. The following Monday, no press conference about Clinton by Trump.

    7. The dirt on Clinton begins showing up on Wikileaks instead, late in the summer, in accordance with Junior's wishes.

    8. Trump publicly calls on Russia to interfere even more in our election. "Russia, if you're listening..."

    9. New poll: 34 percent 'less likely' to vote for Clinton after new email revelations

    Lol at this DNC"s h
Right... if the dems and the swamp, including politicized upper echelons of the FBI succeeded in hiding Hillary's corruption, incompetence, criminal negligence etc, more Americans would have likely voted for her.

Lol, you can't help but admire the level of absurdity, coming from the TDS ward.

Just as more chumps voted for Trump because they turned a deliberate blind eye to his corruption, theft, illegalities, and moral turpitude.

If no votes were changed then what is the point of the lawsuit? If their actions didn't effect the election at all then what exactly are they getting at?

My mistake. I was assuming this was an attempt to say they altered the elections.

I didn't vote for Trump. Stick with the name calling though, that always works.

My first knee jerk reaction was the phrase, "Sour Grapes." That if an election doesn't go the way one wants, then take it to court, sue. All of this could have been easily avoided if the Democrats had nominated a decent candidate. But no, they had to nominate a candidate as disliked and unwanted to become their next president as Trump was.

I'm not a lawyer and know little to nothing about the law when it comes to things like this. But I do know it leaves a sour taste in my mouth whether legal or not. Maybe Sanders supporters ought to sue the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC for Jury rigging the Democratic primaries?

I wonder if Mueller finds no collusion if that doesn't blow this suit out of the water? Outside of my first knee jerk reaction, I really don't know what to think about this.

Oh for the want of two decent candidates back in 2016.

Well, exactly, all information about both candidates came out and people chose Trump.

This is the definition of FAIR and SQUARE. Whining that if the swamp succeded in hiding facts about one candidate while smearing the other the first candidate would have won is absurd.

All based on the hacking of the server. If you refuse to share the main piece of evidence with the defense you'll get laughed out of court. Nobody really believes this is a serious case anyway, just a publicity stunt. You certainly wouldn't be allowed to have your witnesses share their opinion on the server and not allow the defense access - that's not how our courts work.

Their server has probably been incinerated. And a new one is in its place.

My first reaction was WTF?? How can you sue the Russian Government?? Trump Campaign and Wikileaks, OK, but the Russian Government??

    That's nonsensical to me...

And I do like your points about Bernie and better candidates.... Still, nobody should have voted for Trump, as Hillary was clearly the lesser of 2 evils, as she's at least competent...

Your knowledge in these matters is about 45 years out of date.

WORST. LAWSUIT. EVER. As David Bernstein pointed out here, the DNC filed a lawsuit against, well, everybody they don’t like. I’ve read the papers and the legal term for this Complaint is “batsh*t crazy.” Leaving out the fact that they’ll never be able to properly serve most of the defendants, the key thing is if they get a judge inclined to stick to Second Circuit law, this complaint has to be dismissed.
The days when you could file a thin Complaint just in the hopes of getting discovery are long over, Silly!

The Court has adopted widely a doctrine called “Iqbal/Twombly” which means that mere allegations of facts don’t cut it: there has to be enough factual foundation in the Complaint to make a plausible claim. Every “factual” allegation of consequence in this Complaint is unproven speculation. The Iqbal doctrine requires a complaint to allege facts that, if proven, would support the relief requested and to show that the alleged facts are “enough to raise a right to relief above the speculative level, on the assumption that all the allegations in the complaint are true (even if doubtful in fact).”

This case is more than a publicity stunt. It’s become clear even to the most ardent Trump haters that there’s simply no evidence of Russian “collusion” and the focus moved to Stormy Daniels. This is an effort to reanimate the “Russian collusion” narrative.

Of course, because it’s in a judicial pleading, any re-reporting on it is absolutely immune in libel, and its being filed at all is a news peg, so it’s pretty much Tom Perez’ gift to MSNBC and others, allowing them and others to re-tell the “Russia collusion” story as if it had more credibility.

That would have been on the DNC side with their dirty tricks and baseless rumours and fake dossiers. They make the Nixon boy's look like amateurs.

Russia doesn't need Trumps participation to hack the DNC and post it via Wikileaks.

    Exactly.

Anybody who voted for Johnson or Stein or "sat it out" (like some disgruntled Bernie supporters) effectively voted for Trump.

Anybody who voted for Johnson, Stein, or "sat it out", is just as responsible for the Trump Trainwreck as Trump's Misguided Voters.

This is one of the worst ways to pick our president. Going with "the lesser of two evils". You still end up with ****. Imagine if we ran the best possible people instead. Instead this country decided to run the two worst people they could and this is what we ended up with. What we need is someone with respect, integrity, honesty, and maturity. Party doesn't matter, they will try their best to do what's best for the nation. Anything less is unpresidential and will not receive my vote.

I am so sick of this "lesser of two evils" bullshit.

How's that working for ya? Haven't you noticed our choices are getting more and more evil?
