    Gun owners could care less if anyone chooses to carry a gun or arm themselves. We do it to protect ourselves and our family. If you choose not to, that's absolutely fine with us.

    Since the police are not required to protect you & dialing 911 is not reliable (1), citizens should not be restricted from using the firearm "in common use" of their choice. The AR is a widely favored American designed & American manufactured firearm.
    In addition to being very popular among competitive shooters, the AR 15 & it's variants are among the most accurate, versatile & easy to maintain firearms in their class.
    Semiautomatic firearms have been around since the late 1800s and have undergone innumerable refinements & variations over the decades.
    Why should Americans be deprived of the innovations of those various inventors because of firearm that is used in homicides less frequently than crude knives.

    Real life!. You're really pulling the wrong chain here. The bangers are in reality, nothing more than easily produced and readily discardable foot soldiers of the Democratic Party. Low IQ, poor impulse control and lack of future time orientation make them perfect Democrats. It's what they really are. And yet Democrats want some of the thugs to get voting rights.     Great points and I want to add, I live in a remote redoubt area. We don't even have 911 addresses. It's a long travel time from the small town police station that is the closest to me, which is only open from 8am to 2pm daily. People who live like I do realize we are on our own when it comes to danger and we are glad to know we at least have the ability to own a rifle such as an AR15. However, with that said, there is literally zero crime around here. Everybody has guns and often carries. Amazing how that works.

    Honestly, that's not how I read it. And, I have discussed this with LEO, who had no problem with me removing it, nor mentioned leaving it in place if it came on the rifle.
