Of course the inevitably ironic thing is here that they really never were going to let Hillary be president. But the 'they' in this case were the voters, not some mythical secret enemy or the even more mythical 'vast right wing conspiracy'.

You can blather on about how smart Hillary supposedly is but she can't see her own despised nose in front of her despised face.

 

It makes you wonder why this gentle soul isn't 50 points ahead.

 

If Hillary had been elected, we would have seen the same type of internal investigations and endless Drama Queen antics
that we have with Trump.

Both these candidates were toxic.

We really, really need a viable third party in this country.

I agree with you regarding the second and third sentences, but as to the first - nah, I kinda doubt it. Mostly because - well, look at what each one would return to after losing. Trump would simply waddle back to his businesses and trundle on with them, he'd have plenty to keep him occupied. Work, real estate, hookers - he'd have no shortage of things to do to keep him occupied, and thus a continued sense of validation in other fields. He likely would make the occasional ungrammatical tweet when something hit the news and that's about it. You certainly wouldn't see the GOP supporting him on any kind of tour, and certainly the press would ignore him so anything he did in that regard if he even had the time would be ignored by all.

But Hilla - what does she have to go back TO, really? Nothing. No real job, certainly not a real marriage to Bill. I doubt they've slept together in decades. She has her side-piece Huma, but beyond that Hilla has nothing to actually DO in order to feel useful. And human beings, even marginal examples such as Hilla have a need to feel useful. So she continually does her Blame Tours, the press eats it up, she feels loved as her audience follows her about, that satisfies her need to feel useful for a spell so she does another Blame Tour and the cycle will likely repeat itself over and over and over and over again until the alcohol takes out her liver and she croaks.

The truth is both Trump and Clinton were really disliked by America as a whole. They set the record for the lowest favorable rating of any major party candidates. Trump at 36% and Hillary at 38%. The previous record low had been held by Barry Goldwater back in 1964 at 43%. G.H.W. Bush had the second lowest at 46% in 1992 until Trump and Clinton came along.

I was almost like each major party decided to nominate the least liked person they could find. Both parties dug down deep into the bottom of the barrel and came up with the lowest hated dregs they could find and pitted them against each other. 25% of all Americans and 54% of independents disliked both Trump and Hillary and wanted neither to become the next president.

There was no vast right wing conspiracy here. Just plain old disliked of both candidates. Hillary's problem, she was even more disliked than Trump by independents which Trump won that group 46-42 with 12% voting third party. 70% of independents held a negative or unfavorable view of Hillary vs. 57% for Trump. 2016 was the anti election in which more votes were cast against candidates than for candidates.

 

We do have many third parties in the country, but they never gain traction.

You do remember the voters actually voted overwhelmingly for Hillary so it was not the voters who denied Hillary the presidency. However, do continue on with that lie.

Nobody will vote for the candidate.
The big two will say the word non-viable, and the dem and republicans voterse will largely comply. Lesser of two evils will not be defeated

If Hillary had won, we would have less freedom, but a whole lot more war, and in the white house...more falls and pneumonia.

 

Unlike you I have the deepest respect for what she was able to accomplish considering the rabid attacks she has endured for nearly half a century.

Hillary wasn't despised. She represented 8 years of overreach from the Dems and it had already reached a tipping point. She was already picking out curtains for the White House.

 

She rode on her husbands coat tails and couldnt even win a rigged election.
