I am not going to accept the conclusion of a daily mail report as more trustworthy than the FBI, the CIA, and the DNI. There is just no reason in engaging on such a technical detail. It is not my area of expertise.

I'll try to refrain from using Daily Mail in the future, but that doesn't diminish the importance of what has been discovered in this regard.

 

Yea...i don't care if it's daily mail as a source as an automatic thing (a WordPress is probably worse though). It just depends on the topic or reasoning. A report on the data transfer rate is just not enough reason to dismiss the Russian hacking report filed by the FBI, the CIA, and DNI.

Conspiracy theories and flat out lies have been around in politics from the get go and Twitter, Facebook etc were around in the last election. There is NO difference between political advertising and fake news. They literally ran commercials about George Bush wanting to hang black people for crying out loud.

What did NOT exist was a willing and active participant in the form of a candidate from one of the two major parties running for President. Romney did not champion Obama from Kenya - that was Donald Trump. Obama did not champion a rival political opponent being connected to murder - that was Donald Trump.

Hillary was the first put forth the idea that Obama was not born in the US not Trump. While Dole never said it himself there was all sorts of accusations about Bill Clinton being tied to "the guy in the park"s death being flung around by his subordinates and Bush supposedly took one of his girlfriends across state lines to get an abortion. This crap has been around forever and either you are very new to politics are you just have an amazing ability to willfully ignore it which I am legitimately envious of.

In no particular order these things had far more to do with Hillary's defeat than any silly Russian conspiracy.
