But what I find odd is that such a hallmark atrocity should happen in Canada, where Islam has already been accepted, therefore there's no need to terrorise and risk antagonising the populace.

 

Not the only thing, but one thing we shouldn't do is to take away their guns because they're crazy and then give those guns to his family. This actually happened in this case, and his father gave the guns back to him!
