Generally, some facts are required in order to launch an investigation.

Typically, investigations aren't begun just to see if anything can be found.

No, he will be remembered as the man who presided over America's swift decline.

He has all the qualities of Caligula's horse.

And the one that you couldn't stop from stealing your election.

Hahaha, Trump and Putin bent you over and had their way with you.

How does that make you feel?

    Kinda dirty I bet.

Since when have you decided law and order doesn't pertain to Trump? These lies including this imaginary Deep State, the conservative attempts to slander the FBI and the DOJ, it makes you wonder, why are conservatives so desperate to save Trump from obvious obstruction of justice, stemming with the firing of Comey (whether Comey deserved to be fired is beside the point, it is the intent that matters).

Where do you get the idea Trump appealed the common sense of the people? Who thinks what Trump says on Twitter is remotely presidential? Who thinks that Mexico was actually going to pay for the wall? I doubt Trump has ever fueled his own car, bought his own groceries, or anything you and I do.

    Back to rewrite.

Everything seemed to be getting much better.

The nation has finally emerged from the long economic crisis that had gripped the world economy ever since the specualtive boom that the banking industry and its allies in the GOP White House and Congress had ignited had collapsed.

Unemployment was low, and real wages were finally starting to show signs of improvement. The equity markets had recovered, and nearly all of the bailouts had worked and been repaid.

The middle class still suffered, as it had for forty years ever since it had been suckered into the something-for-nothing promise of trickle down economics. During that entire period, the party of Wall Street and big oil had controlled Congress, the White House or both for all but a few short years.

They rewarded their friends in big business, and in big oil, and made the world safe for secretive billionaires and enabled them to make unlimited campaign contributions.

Even as the last administration was ending, these forces were busy trying to undo the few actual reforms that had been passed in the wake of the national economic collapse.

The middle class had been falling for tax cuts for the rich for forty years ,and through two fiscally disasterous administration, and resented being stuck with much of the suffering for Wall Street's rapacity.

The politics of resentment and grievance were much upon the land. Helped in no small measure by the latent racism that resurfaced when a black man became President, and lingered even after he was gone.

    Enter the Pied Piper.

A make believe billionaire, with a shady past, and a flair for feeding outrage. He promised everybody everything, and yelled the "I alone can fix it".

Wall Street and big oil knew they had their front man. It was a risky proposition, becasue the man was an unstable spoiled rich kid, who never had to take any responsibility for anything, and who had a long history of shady associations, broken promises and unpaid bills.

But he know exactly how to fool the tabloidTV audience, and had been entertaining the multitudes with his glitzy fake billionare act for years.

Nobody with any real power or influence trusted him, but they all thought they could use him for their purposes.

The television networks gave him a platform because his act got ratings.

The GOP gave him an opportunity because otherwise their party was a hopeless tower of babel.

The political establishment held its nose and believed that they could control him.

Wall Street signed on because if they couldn't control him, they at least could cash in and walk away.

Big oil knew he would be a bonanza, giving away public resources in a way that hadn't been seen since Teapot Dome (althogh the George W Bush administration did its level best on that score).

But they underestimated the power of resentment. Their man has been born with a chip on his shoulder taht he made little attempt to hide. His father had been a crooked slimy developer in Queens and the son craved the respectability of the Upper East Side, where he was (and still is) distinctly unwelcome.

His talk radio audience saw his resentment and made it their own. He saw the latent racism in many and played to it relentlessly. Ever one to scrape the bottom of the barrel and bring out the worst in people, he bullies and blustered his way to the top.

His objective, to prove that he could do it.

He didn't really want the job. He wasn't interested in it once he got it, other than the trappings. And he had no sense of duty honor or obligation. Being the spoiled son of a crook, he was never taught these things.

But he knew how to admire himself in the mirror as he walked by (television screens are even better).

The only really smart guys were the Wall Street guys. The insterted their men in the new Administration and wrote their dream tax bill. The GOP, which a year earlier faced seeing Wall Street's donor money all dry up, rushed to rubber stamp

The middle class got a temporary piddling gesture, paid for with borrowed money.

Wall Street got what it wanted. The Goldman Sachs boys retreated from the new administration to be replaced by a cable TV clown selected by a man whose entire world exist on a tv screen.

Meanwhile, around the world, people saw the feigned arrogance, the jingoism, the bluster and the stupidity and understood taht the American President could never be taken at his word or trusted.

They also saw, in his headlong grasp for the crown, that he was not too picky about the company he kept.

Having been unable to obtain financing to stay afloat he had long ago started resorting to shady money launderers and gangsters for financing.

They had friends in the intelligence services of America's biggest rivals. They knew, from first hand experience, how venal and corrupt this man was, and how he could be used.

    So they did.

They had already launched a sophisticated cyber attack on the United States, and were amazed at how well it was going. They has beefn able to insert stories in the US news cycle, almost at will, and even had accumulated a large following of useful idiots.

The candidate was icing on the cake. They knew they couldn't trust him. But they could bring him to heel from time to time. And they knew that he would sow chaos and division wherever he went. And since their objective was to undermine the pillars of teh Post WWII Western Alliance, he was perfect for the role.

And now, the US is the only country in Western Alliance which is doing nothing in response to the second attack on the nation in this century. It's leader denies it ever happened, even though his own intelligence agencies, and those of every other western nation tell him it did. All the more disturbing given the level of apparant attemps and obviously eager willingness to collude with the nation's enemies.

So, it is in this troubling context that the only real investigation of all of this is taking place.

    And the world is watching.

That's all well and good. However shouldn't we also be looking at the corruption of the last eight years of the Obama?

Unless it is revenge, you don't require MORE zealous presecution on your rivals. NOT without NEW evidence.

Is it revenge of the search for justice? I'd venture to claim that the Russia theme is revenge for the loss of Hillary's bid for the presidency.

I don't know, but it is now traditional to involve urine.
